RE: Development on Server Crashes - Judge Rage - Jun 4, 2020 I mean switching to Evo just trades the problem of random server crashes for random game crashes... RE: Development on Server Crashes - jess - Jun 8, 2020 if the map has to be changed lets go back to Rockford that map is lit RE: Development on Server Crashes - Nev - Jun 8, 2020 This map is exactly what is needed for role-playing and we don't need a map centered around building. This isn't BuildRP and as much as you might perceive it as important to have giant flat areas, it is simply not needed. Just because stores are built for certain uses doesn't mean they cannot be retrofitted. Many of these spaces can easily be changed if you put in the effort to do so. I would much rather have stores with an aesthetic to them and function already given, it is more friendly for players with low prop counts- and this is a population of players you must always account for. Additionally, the map has 1,000 times more RP-areas than Rockford, EvoCity and TrueNorth- combined. Those maps were dreary, lacked any urban environment and were predictable. Let's not forget that the downtown environments were limited to one store on Rockford and one boring street on TN. Let's not forget that those maps were also based in towns that lacked any sense of proper density. This map has something that makes it more enjoyable to play on with low populations. It's dense, but you're still going to find it dreadful to find someone. Isn't that what is so great? Rockford criminal activities were limited to literally one of three warehouses or a residential neighborhood. There wasn't enough breathing room for different types of RP to occupy the same spaces. Southside allows everybody to have some distance from one another. I don't have to hear gunshots down the street, I don't have to disrupt PassiveRP's if I decide to have a shoot-out in a certain part of town. The government is located right where it needs to be and not in the middle of a slum or near criminal areas. It might seem like Cops N' Robbers, but that's always been LL. I think that'll improve if we increase our community population of active players and especially players that prefer PassiveRP. Maybe some updates in that area will also improve that. Love it so far, would hate to see a change. RE: Development on Server Crashes - Loaf - Jun 10, 2020 we should go back to evocity v2d from 2013 great map RE: Development on Server Crashes - bimkx - Jun 10, 2020 (Jun 10, 2020, 07:21 PM)Loaf Wrote: we should go back to evocity v2d from 2013 Unironically support this RE: Development on Server Crashes - Loaf - Jun 10, 2020 you shouldn't that map was fucking horrible RE: Development on Server Crashes - Midget. - Jun 12, 2020 I'll just wait for Garry's Mod 2 KEKW |
