I don't want to imagine what would've happened if he had proper weapons and also the skills.

Imagine being one of the guys inside the Kebap Shop. Would you act rational when a guy seemingly heavily armed comes in, starts shooting and you fear for your life?
I've seen his helmet cam videos. The guys inside there were crying and begging for their lives. The might've never experienced gun violence or even played a video game that comes remotely close to gun violence. Of course they didn't run out. There was only one exit (I know this Kebap Shop. Was in there several times as well). And this exit was right behind the shooter. There is NO WAY you would've been like: "Oh.. There is a guy firing at us! Let's just run towards him!"

Oh, I heard he was standing there trying to fix his guns, didn’t know he instantly started shooting.
And yes I totally agree. It’s hard to act rational when your body is full with adrenaline and you fear for your life. In case he was really trying to fix his guns for 1-2 mins it just needed a stupid decision to tackle him over and get out of that kebab shop. In case he instantly started shooting etc as you said, there is, in my opinion, almost no way of getting out of that situation.
I also read that it was a worker who bought something in that kebab store during his break, which would make this shooter even more retarded. In the end he planned to kill innocent people due to his fucked ideology whatsoever, but what he did was killing an old woman and a worker who had his lunch in a kebab store, both obviously also innocent.
Sometimes I really ask myself whether some people even have braincells, I mean how can you be as dumb, fucked and retarded like this guy?

If you think 110,000/annually is a logical number to take in, that's absurd. The Trump Administrations' focus is about cutting internal government-related costs. Cutting inefficient programs, cutting unnecessary spending and all by reducing the role of government and hence the budget for certain programs.
In 2015, the Office of Refugee Resettlement had a budget of $1,560,000,000 with a large amount of this being due to large increases in victims of human trafficking and most prominently Unaccompanied Alien Children // and this is referring to children that were both unaccompanied and crossing the southern border.
In 2013, the number of unaccompanied alien children crossing the border was a staggering ~24,500 and the cost was almost a billion dollars a year to handle this volume of children. This is data, these are facts.
If you knew anything about our country- you'd understand that we have enough problems that a certain political party likes to avoid. This is a country and thus it should focus on its constituents first and foremost. The veterans, the LMI (Low-Median Income) households and the millions that are homeless in our streets.
The incident in Germany is sad to hear and as tragic as it may seem it is not some indicator of the rise of Neo-nazi agendas across the globe.
Do you know how many murders happened in Brazil last year? Do you know how many murders happened on the streets of Chicago? Unfortunately, we live in a society where we have many that are growing up to not value their life nor the lives of others. In most of these cases, I'd make the argument that most of these were shortcomings not to be blamed on society, but rather (in most cases), on parenting and the core values taught by those around you as you develop. These people are also actors in your life that in many aspects shape who you want to become. It is why you often see resemblances in instances of domestic abuse. In many cases, they were abused themselves. In instances of crime, they grew up around it. Mental health is also a large reason and part of the problem is that it's hard to assess if somebody has a mental health condition when they aren't willing to disclose it themselves and often no way for anyone, even their own parents, to identify this. I'd speculate that anti-semitic/far-right views weren't what made them snap. It could've been something else if those were non-existent. This isn't normal and when people begin to associate these actions/events with normalcy and simply reactions to calls for hate, or that they reacted like this because they were on 4chan, that is when we begin to have a problem.

Yeah basically. No one really cares about the issue until it begins to affect themself. Why would a bunch of rich white politicians give one damn about a bunch of black and Hispanic men killing each other in the inner cities? Why worry about gang violence when you can live in wealthy suburbs or the nice part of cities and enjoy your many millions that magically appear despite making $174K per year? Many can say they care but they really don't.

The Democrats decide to blame the guns, Republicans blame mental health or for the DONALD, video games. My belief is that these shootings are the result of many, many factors such as mental health, fragile parenting as opposed to anti-fragile, and the 'riot effect' of thresholds lowering for violence. I guess we can start a discussion for what other LL people think if the badmins don't want this thread to derail.

Part of it is that it's become a culture to be violent. There's fear as being seen as a pussy if you're not willing to kill someone (It's almost as if that whole concept of "honour" from the middle ages never disappeared) and that can damage your reputation in rougher areas. You could also argue that the very fact that someone might be armed the same way that person is could be antagonising something that would normally be a screaming match. These attitudes reflect the same on gun, knife and chemical crime. I guess we need to change the way we think.

@Nev With that statement I mostly tried to highlight the issue with one country taking a large part of the incoming refugees in Europe. The US has its problems with Mexico, not with Syria etc.
And obviously I do totally agree that refugees that come just for better economics are really not worth the money and time a country like Germany puts into them. The people that should be helped are the war refugees or however you call them, people that leave a country due to war and terrorism.
