Soviet, it seems you should know full well WHY people aren’t on. Your an old staff member, and now your trying to get at LimeLight ever since.

What people need to realise is being a Staff member WILL agent boring over time. They have lives, and they need to do other things then sit on their arse and play LimeLight 24/7. Fuck that.
You may have an answer: ‘HIRE MORE STAFFS’. That’s a temporary solution. They’ll eventually get bored. Being staff isn’t fun, can be for a while then just another set of shit your expected to do.

I've always not been a fan with things in LL. They just aren't in hidden lounges anymore. You can ask current staff members. I like to argue internally A LOT.

Yes it's boring and yes it's a hassle, but they still have a job to do. 

I didn't like coming on to deal with minges while I played something I was enjoying, but I did it.
I didn't want to have to ruin a player's day by banning or blacklisting them, but I did it so they would stop breaking our rules for the PLAYERS.

Being staff is like a shit job. No pay, no set schedule, and you can take off as long as you want. I know being staff is shit, but they still have a job to do. No excuses. This has been a problem for a while now, and I am just now realizing how bad it has gotten. I mean, for christ's sake we have mods doing a bigger job than most mods (at least from what I've seen. Shoutout to @"Nightmare" for his activity). 

So maybe instead of jumpin to conclusions, you look at this problem not from a passionate standpoint for the staff members, but from a realistic standpoint to how moderation is required even if it sucks.

We do our best with what time we have because most of us are of an age where life has to come first. It doesn't necessarily mean that we can't play Limelight, just not as much as we could some time ago which you can all relate to.

Limelight is always on the look-out for staff members and we will continue to recruit staff as required.

I can only agree with what Nacreas has already said, as well as adding this - whilst the activity of some are a concern, I doubt any of the guys on the team would ever refuse or turn down a player asking for assistance, and @"Rocket" has said this very well before. If something's wrong and we're made aware of it, unless there's something that prevents us from going there (ie being ill, about to get dinner etc) then it's rare that we won't respond to it.

If there are people breaking the rules and there are not any staff on, just collect evidence and make a PR. If it's a bit more 'mingey' then try and contact a staff member on steam. 9/10 times they'll come on if they're not busy with something else.

We do not have staff to call them like a taxi/cab. We got them to be online (at least one at peak times).

I'm not making an excuse bag exempts but let me explain our issue

Last month was September which is when a lot of us go back to university or in the case of me and doctor internet we start uni for the first time

Many of our other staff are now working 2 years ago most of us were either in school/college or just starting out on work therefore as time passes we got more inactive 

I'll put it like this an I'll put it very bluntly from my view 

I've just started university so I took 1 month to sort everything out so I could make a good start. I'm playing other games yeah but that's because whilst I'm settling in the last thing I need is to come back at 8pm (as I have a 1hour drive each way to uni) and deal with idiots on the server rather than relaxing.

Believe me we are constantly reviewing potential new staff members, but it's very rare we'll just be like "yep amazing strait through" even if the person does get approved and a lot of the time they're not because there's always something they've done which is plain stupid. 

Personally I'm planning on coming back after the 15th of October because by then all my assignments are set and I can organise my time better 

The main reason I may sound all pissy here is because we as staff keep having to say like a broken record "we have a life we have a life..." and then people say "resign then resign then..." statistically that makes our problem worse. We have an issue where our players are becoming younger and many of them don't present staff qualities or they're being so obvious it's painful. What needs to happen really is to wait for all these new and less experienced players to bloom a bit because maybe 1/100 will develop maturity and RP knowledge that makes them staff material 

That being said no one is saying we don't hear your concerns but even though I'm putting KY bluntly I'm just trying to clearly explain our predicament

It is an issue yes, we're currently and as always are always in the process of recruiting new moderators, so we're looking into new a fresh new team of mods who will without a doubt be active etc.

But as for me, if anyone ever wants an admin to come online I'm mostly online most of the time I only go to college at Sunday, Tuesday, I have college every other day but its early so I doubt people would need me much, I go out on weekends (Thursday, Friday)

But even on weekends im active till really late hours, so other than that if there's any rule-breakage just add me on steam and tell me if a lot of stuff is going down on the server, if its only minor don't spam my steam about it please, and I'm not your personal @ call so if I'm in-game don't steam message me about a rule-breakage I'll most likely ignore it.

But if I'm not already on garry's mod, send me a message I'll check logs or come on, I'll try my best if anything.
