RE: How to Make Garrys Mod Look Slightly Better - Nebula - Apr 25, 2018 Update: Added 2 nice addons. RE: How to Make Garrys Mod Look Slightly Better - Kvatch - Apr 25, 2018 If I wanted to find different sounds for garrys mod that can alter let's say every sound in the game and completely customise my game, are there any sites that feature this kind of stuff? Or what would I search for on the workshop for this? Or what would I search for on the workshop for this? Luckily, i've found the perfect mod for it too, it changes (almost) every sound. (Most of them work but not all work properly but the most work. Also it replaces the lockdown sound with a nice and not too loud warning siren)w I recommend subscribing to all addons. https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=975683182 And if you're tired of some old rusty props, here you go (they are client-side so they work in mp) https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=575471954 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=575502526 https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=575782268 RE: How to Make Garrys Mod Look Slightly Better - Quest - Aug 9, 2018 What are your settings? I don't get reflections on any cars? RE: How to Make Garrys Mod Look Slightly Better - Nebula - Aug 9, 2018 @Quest Reflections only work with certain skins. Not all of them reflect. + The angle & Map/Spot on the map also has something to do. As seen with the screenshots of the Mercedes, same skin, same color, different angle and spot but reflects more. No literally there's a screenshot of my DB5 that someone took and it's really reflective and nice and when I look at it it's just matte. RE: How to Make Garrys Mod Look Slightly Better - Vimpto - Aug 9, 2018 The way I've changed all of my vehicle engines sounds to something I like is a long process but is as follows: Find the car addon you want to edit in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons for example LW Bentley Continental GT Drag it onto your desktop with Garry's Mod Closed. Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin and drag the .gma into on top of 'gmad.exe'. This will convert the GMA into a folder. You find it on your desktop and open it. Go into the 'Scripts' folder then 'Vehicles' '<Car Addon Name>'. Then select the <carname>.txt. You want to edit this bit. For example change this to this Then put the folder into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons The process is long and boring but I enjoy it for some reason. For anyone wondering how to change car sounds ^^ |
