I think that Trump was wrong in rejoicing, as the Cold War ended in 1989, and the US has re-accepted (even if wrongly) Russia into the western world, why not do so with Cuba.
Those are my 2 cents on the issue.
Liberals say "He's a good guy, he trained doctors to be the best in the world!"

You are saying that just because an 11.27 million population nation has communist leaders, and is a poor nation (10$ monthly salary, no nukes, shitty army, 2m from the US) is a threat that should be eliminated?

That happened 50+ years ago and the nukes were supplied by the Soviet Union. I believe what franc is saying is that as of now with their current technology Cuba has no way of producing nukes on their own and is relatively not a threat to the United States. If anything US and Cuban relations have been improving since Raul Castro took over, but we'll have to see how that continues.
While I do respect Castro's ability to play the role of fighting against global imperialism (some of which he purposely stirred up and presented a skewed perspective) there's a reason that many of his people took their chances on an inner tube in the ocean. He oppressed, jailed, and killed his political opponents. He was by no stretch a "good guy", but I guess blanket statements are always the way to go.

I consider myself liberal and don't support Castro, every liberal friend I've spoken to on the subject does not support Castro. Liberals that have posted on this thread do not support Castro.
Repeating the same thing over and over despite myself and others telling you that your blanket statements are untrue isn't you stating your opinion or fact, it's simply you lying.
To me it's honestly a shame seeing you acting like this Jarz, I remember how you used to conduct yourself back on FL before your meme stage and now your news subforum lurking. You were someone that I respected when you gave an opinion because you handled yourself appropriately on the forums and listened various viewpoints. While I still respect you as a friend I know that know you can act better than this as I've seen you do it in the past. Believe it or not it is possible to have an open and honest discussion with someone that has different political views from your own without the need of bashing or acting like an ass. This is one prime example of a topic that has been easily agreed upon by both sides yet you've seen it as a green light to attack those who you believe think differently from yourself.
Maybe for once you can actually be happy that most, if not all, of those that typically have a different opinion from yourself on LL actually agree with you on something.

by what i said, i meant that even if, in any case, he was not an enlightened leader and by every mean a dictator, he still developed his country, doing the same if not less damage as its predecessor (Batista).
in any case, i'd prefer 10.000 times toupee man than him as my head of state.
