A great map with more money. By participating in the Great Rockford Revival, you'll be rewarded with a salary boost for your dedication to the dedi. We appreciate that joining an empty or near-empty server is not as fun as joining a well-populated server, and so it can often be difficult to populate the US server when it's empty. Also, while there are still a few ways to make money on a near-empty server, many trade and service opportunities are lost. To help compensate for this and provide more incentive for players to be the first to populate servers, we've added a salary bonus when the server has low population. If there are less than 5 players, the salary bonus will be $150; 6-10, $100; 11-20, $50. This is a flat rate, the same for members and non-members, and will be available on both the EU and US servers (though it's only live on the US server at the time of posting). We'll track how this works out closely, and welcome any suggestions. RE: US Rockford - Nev - Jul 19, 2016 Make the game-mode more fun to play when low amounts of people are on and maybe that will happen RE: US Rockford - Soviethooves - Jul 19, 2016 (Jul 19, 2016, 08:23 PM)Nevy Wrote: Make the game-mode more fun to play when low amounts of people are on and maybe that will happen You are welcome to suggest ideas if you have some! RE: US Rockford - George - Jul 19, 2016 The meth system was great to have when it was financially viable as it took time to do. We need to add things that take time to make/produce as then people can be focused on it rather than sitting around for 20 minutes doing nothing and waiting for contraband to be manufactured. More immersive creation. A full drugs market would also be cool. RE: US Rockford - SirWulf - Jul 19, 2016 Rockford is well setup for farming, what about that? A Rockford only feature that could transfer over into v33x via shippable goods. RE: US Rockford - The Rock - Jul 19, 2016 Why not the nevi suggestion , like crafting oil , and mining materials? RE: US Rockford - Nudel - Jul 19, 2016 Well, it's not minecraft ^^ RE: US Rockford - MrMarsh - Jul 19, 2016 After ill finish my medieval latin exam tomorrow :/ and restore my household a littleXD ill definatly join you RE: US Rockford - Tails - Jul 19, 2016 (Jul 19, 2016, 08:34 PM)SirWulf Wrote: Rockford is well setup for farming, what about that? (70% hunger, lower the benefits of fish etc.) RE: US Rockford - Nev - Jul 19, 2016 (Jul 19, 2016, 09:50 PM)Nudelsalat im Panzer Wrote: Well, it's not minecraft ^^ It's not Minecraft? Dumbest statement ever. It's not Grand Theft Auto either, nor is it Sims 4. It's Garry's Mod, a sandbox game mode and this community runs an RPG based game-mode, which means that we should be able to role-play in ways that we could IRL. To me, this means having a skill system and crafting system as the basic framework of the game-mode, as suggested and related to my post about Removing the F1 Jobs and creating a player-based economy. That suggestion can be seen and voted on by clicking 'here' Maybe the idea is too complicated for you, maybe you prefer not having anything real and productive to do and would rather sit in a store and pretend to have fun using /me and /it. I personally have no interest in the game because to me, it seems like that is all it has become. There have been several suggestions made to change how things are and yet there is still a sizable number of people who oppose them. These suggestions are there to change the game-mode rather than add onto them. Adding cars, motorcycles, weapons and additional items are just part of the aesthetic skin of the game and don't really impact how the game-mode is. It'll still be the dull game-mode that it is. Take a step back and look at the game-mode for what it really is. What is the purpose of it? What is there to do besides earn RPP or to simply try and earn money, despite the fact that you know you will spend countless hours doing tedious tasks only to face the fact that someone who spends a couple bucks on money-packs will make what could've taken you hours to earn. And on the topic of earning IG money, there is only a few ways and they are, for the most part, illegal. Woodcutting seems to be the only passive way to make money, but even then there is a large number of AggressiveRP surrounding it. Let's say you get rich. However it happened, you've made around $2,000,000. This would take a while considering you were a person who didn't spend money for IG money. What is there to do with it? Spend hundreds of thousands on aesthetic things such as suits and cars or simply buying up pockets to expand your inventory? There is really nothing else that can be bought. Maybe that is the problem. There is just a limitation on what money gets you, bringing forth a lack of fulfillment. So what can be done? How can the game-mode truly be brought to a whole new level? It'll take extreme community involvement. Everyone needs to voice their opinions on suggestions as well as their concerns. Ideas will die down or get declined because people didn't voice their support and those who opposed it were quick to vote against it. IMO: The following needs to be done before the game-mode will truly stand out and bring back my interest. Quote:1. Remove F1 Jobs Quote:2. Display Unholstered Weapons Quote:3. Game-mode Aesthetic Improvement(s) Quote:4. Skill System Quote:5. Property System + Taxes Quote:6. Presidential Election System - Government Changes Quote:7. Store System changes |
