Thanks @"Sours".

RE: Staff to community Q & A - Enzyme - Sep 3, 2017

We will not elaborate on staff-tools further at this point.

Well apparently its not a staff tool anymore, so why not keep going on it? How long was that tool in use for?

RE: Staff to community Q & A - Obay - Sep 3, 2017

It is a staff tool, but the Steam overlay was removed. So like Enzyme said, we will not going further into tools that are used by staff.

Am I allowed to recommend someone to get a REP in @-chat? For example if @"Nudelsalat im Panzer" is doing some good rp, am I allowed to recommend a REP for him at @-chat? Because I dont want admins thinking this: "NUDELSALAT OBVIOUSLY PAID IN-GAME MONEY SO VATIPÄÄ WILL RECOMMEND HIM"

So am I allowed to recommend?

You can PM a staff member your recommendation, however, the staff member will satisfy themselves on whether or not the player has performed well.

The @ command should be used for situations that require urgent attention from moderation staff only.

Hi there!

This is rather off-topic, but my girlfriend has an issue on a server she plays on, where this "show players screen"-tool has shown steam overlays, and the staff has screenshotted a bunch of conversations from steam-chat within the overlay and posted it on a secret subpage on their forum.

They claim that there is a tool in gmod that does this, and its not "hacking" or "wrong".

I would like to have some information generally about this tool.

Can a staff-member please send me a PM with details on this tool?
I am having difficulties finding it with googling.

Thanks.

That was already confirmed removed @"WillyVodka". They have something similar, but it has been shown to not record steam overlays or other tabs on the screen other than the game itself.

okay Soviet, but could you give me any info on PM regarding this tool?

I think that taking screens of peoples internal chats and posting on secret subforum is a breach of the gaming-community and against privacy.

I just want some info regarding it generally, nothing to do whether you do or do not use it! Smile

Like forexample just the name of the tool. Smile

It's on pages 13 and 14 of this thread.

This video displays everything an administrator is able to grab. The steam overlay was removed a long, long time ago.

He's consistently in TS, joining us for meetings for development. He's normally around posting his input and feedback where required.

Why's he not in game, if I may ask.
