What... OVH has 360,000 servers in one data-center in the USA. OVH is 'Good' until something goes wrong, their support is terrible because you get what you pay for. I am pretty sure they offer paid-support packages for better support. And they also offer a more advanced DDOS-migration service which is within the servers budget (maybe should be considered) [/quote] In the United Kingdom their is one parent company and five subsidiary companies operating from it. In essence, one company holds on monopoly in the United Kingdom and is a pile of shit. It's the same issue across most of the European Union as most EU servers are owned by parent companies instead of individual hosters akin to North and South America. Re: Regarding Current Downtime - Joey Skylynx - Sep 19, 2015 Also have you guys made an idle threats to baguette? If you haven't they won't listen to you. You need to get in their faces and make them fix the problem or they should expect your services to end with them. At least that's how my sister taught me to deal with cell phone companies and the like. Re: Regarding Current Downtime - Brynn - Sep 19, 2015 I wounder if OVH have tried turning it on and off again.... You kind of have a point, however there are plenty of data-centers to choose from, if you choose to host in the UK, which I see absolutely no point in.. as well as the fact that it will probably be more expensive. If the majority of players were to be from the UK, then you may as well just host in france or another european area and if people have connection problems, use a CDN to support them, although most connections would be completely fine from the UK to france. --- Also when it comes to OVH, it is hard to tell when the servers will be back. I used to do a lot of hosting with them, until they claimed they were fixing a minor issue... then they tell me that the 'hard drive has come loose from its bracket and is unrepairable'... Still not sure how much truth was there or if they just f***ed up.
