Ability to demote the President - BasicallyMental - Jun 1, 2017 Suggestion for <in-game/forum/teamspeak etc.>: In-game In detail, explain your suggestion: Have the Police Sgt. the permission to demote. As this could be abused, it would come with requirements, or a voting option would come up for the whole police force (on-duty) to demote the President, and an 80% would be required in order to pass the demotion Why should this be implemented? Because, every so often you get a corrupt president that needs to be dealt with, however it cannot happen as it is not possible to demote him from his position (Unless an admin is on. Sadly in most corruption cases, one isn't available) Little side note: I understand this may have been suggested once or twice already however nothing has been done about them suggestions, therefore them now being dead. Also, as it's become a more frequent issue with the corrupt president's lately, something should be done / added about it ASAP so that more RP is open to us without needing an admin. RE: Ability to demote the President - Doctor Internet - Jun 1, 2017 +support, though it should be expanded slightly. Allow the VP to warrant the President, the President to warrant the VP without restriction. Allow the Sergeant[s] to warrant the President and VP, but requiring (for example) a 80% vote of all active government forces (Fire, EMS, Police and SWAT). RE: Ability to demote the President - Nudel - Jun 1, 2017 +Support I really like the idea but I see one problem. If the police sergeants warrant the president, the president could easily demote him whilst the police is voting. If we go citizen, we haven't really got a reason to raid unless a law directly, and dramatically effects our character RE: Ability to demote the President - Insert - Jun 1, 2017 (Jun 1, 2017, 02:48 PM)BasicallyMental Wrote:(Jun 1, 2017, 02:46 PM)Sgt. RE: Ability to demote the President - Doctor Internet - Jun 1, 2017 @Insert As opposed to what? *become dictator* *get killed by the 70 freedom fighters who are let up by the cops anyway because "lol it's not breaking the rules cos I'm not shooting him myself"* or *become dictator* *nothing happens because you ensure that you don't make any laws that would allow people to raid you* Ah, I just had an idea. Drop the votes. The Police Sergeant / SWAT Sergeant will be able to warrant the President / VP, so long as they are cuffed/tied. No need to vote. Either that, or get rid of the rule saying that members of the Government are not allowed to harm other members. RE: Ability to demote the President - Dick - Jun 1, 2017 That wouldn't work Internet as even if you do harm the others. Anyone on the Government are unable to kill the President or Vice otherwise they respawn as if they just joined. RE: Ability to demote the President - Vauld - Jun 1, 2017 Eh, not really needed imo. It's a good idea, but police and swat are permitted to be corrupt. Therefore they're capable of joining the rebellion to a certain degree eg: letting people into the Nexus, they're able to help appropriate parties deal with the president, whether that means stepping down or killing him lol. Only issue is, a lot of the time, the president only effects the people if a dictator in which case there is never a PD anyway. However, when someone is corrupt, it is normally only to the government, therefore meaning there is never an external group to help them out. - Hence me suggesting the ability to do it internally RE: Ability to demote the President - Doctor Internet - Jun 1, 2017 (Jun 1, 2017, 04:54 PM)Vauld Wrote: Eh, not really needed imo. I must disagree here. A large amount of the time, being corrupt (as the President) or being a dictator or whatever, also means you're bad at performing regular Presidential duties. Warrants, for example. If you get an incompetent, or even worse, someone incompetent with malicious intent, this is terrible for the Police. You end up spending most of your playtime not being able to do anything. I thought you of all people would understand how annoying it is not being able to do anything about that. |
