Full Version: Steam group benefits

This latest update gives the player very slight benefits for being part of our Steam community group. If you're a member of the group, you'll receive a 5% bonus to your in-game salary.

We're looking to improve how we use our group as means of announcing updates and events, and showcasing guides and competitions. Hopefully this will provide some decent - but not game-breaking - incentive for both new and old players to join our Steam group and get involved.

Also, the /steamgroup command has been added. This will open our community page in your Steam browser.

We're not going to go heavy on advertising this update. This thread and a small addition to the scrolling text at the top are all that we'll show, other than standard changelogs/group announcements. We don't want to make this too big a deal, though of course teachers and players can always inform each other. The salary bonus might change depending on how effective this is, or perhaps for holiday seasons.

Enjoy your slightly improved income!

Nice! an extra $5 (before taxes)

Exactly :PPP
Can we get another 5% if we follow on twitter and subscribe on youtube?
How about $5 every time we retweet?
I think 5% bonus on the paycheck isn't a big enough incentive.

That is only a $25 increase on a $500 (Donator) salary
The vote between 5 and 10% was pretty close, so we might try 10% soon. That said, we don't want to overdo things; we just want it to be a small bonus, not a major one.

We won't be doing this with twitter/youtube because unlike with our group, you can't match a SteamID. Also we *really* don't want to overdo this. We want to keep the primary focus in-game, not on all our different social media channels.
Steam group with benefits ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
My mum is on benefits, is she in this group :(
Can we get a /donate command added , shouldn't be to hard to implement, just a simple alteration of the /content and /steamgroup command.
Nice addition
nice!
