Noice
10-7 10-8 is also used a bit.
Very useful topic! Well done
You should add response codes to the OP c:
Shit! Now I know these, I don't have an excuse to respond with "10-4" anymore!

Nice work pal.
Codes are different between departments, 11-99 is an urgent backup request for example.
Good work, 10-23 and 10-76 also are used by some.
usefull to have a list around. thanks
Good job!
Code 1: Non-Emergency, No lights or sirens.
(Most calls can be handled Code 1)

Code 2: Semi-Emergency, (sometimes) Lights, siren/horn for clearing intersections/other high traffic areas

Code 3: SHIT HAS HIT THE FAN! LIGHTS AND SIRENS! GO GO GO!

Code 4: No further backup needed. (Call this out as soon as a situation is under control, so you don't request backup for a suspcious vehicle and end with 7 Cop Cars and 4 SWAT Vans bearing down on you Code 3 for the guy who ran out of gas.)
Also used an "I'm okay" or "All Clear"

As for the 10 Codes, they vary widely from City to City and County to County- I propose we just make this list here the Official LL 10 codes to simplify things. (Sticky this?)
ewww 10-codes

british police radio is better

OT
Nice job!
Honestly. I prefer to have informative response instead of those codes. People are like I am 10-5 10-9 19-52 19-53 and still faill to tell what's going on Tongue

On the fire deparment we use "Status codes". Like status 1 = enroute. Status 2 = arrived and status = 3 is return. We use Status 8 to request permission to talk.

We just keep it short and informative, like: House fire, no causalties, Code 4.
I use this page when I roleplay as a police officer.
Pretty easy to use as you can use ctrl+f
