Maniac I'm sure that we don't need to sit with you and explain the very basic elements of role-playing. There's a very big and clear difference between insulting someone from an In-Character (IC) perspective as opposed to an Out-Of-Character (OOC) one. People have always been able to insult another character but when they decide to use our OOC chats to insult others is when it becomes a rule violation and a direct insult to the other player.

There's a clear difference between insulting someone In-Character and Out-Of-Character and the two must stay separate.

Doesn't defy the point that anything can be said "IC" and nothing can be said in "OOC", even when the message has equal meaning regardless of IC or OOC.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't care about cursing at all because I don't want to uphold this fake veil of social justice warriorism, because frankly I couldn't care less. People should be able to say what they want, but if they do, the least they can do is do it privately. Banning someone for stepping on someone else's toes doesn't solve anything.

But hey that's just me and my always unpopular opinion.

If I threaten a cop and say that I'll kill him In-Character then I'm threatening the officer on his life, not the player. If I can make threats and insults In-Character to someone's RP character, does it mean that I can threaten the player Out of Character?
There's a huge difference between insults and threats In-Character and Out Of Character, and I find it quite concerning if you don't understand the difference; especially considering that you're a moderator.

I could ramble on about the big difference between IC and OOC chat, but this is the wrong thread. I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.  We're also getting slightly off-topic here, but I'm on Steam if you want to take it there.

Does it hurt me that someone is gay, religious, political? No. Not one bit. As such, it is not my concern that they are.

It is wrong for people to harass someone for being different from themselves. It is pointless.

Now I do agree that certain words have devolved into just curse words. They no longer have a meaning other than an insult. Faggot I think is one of them. If it slips out once or twice fine, as long as it doesn't get excessive.

Personally I don't care what leaves a person's mouth in-character or out-of-character related. I usually see a strong word such as 'faggot' being thrown around (if it's in a way that's meant to be deliberately belittling and not tongue-in-cheek[Like 100% of my conversations with Katyusha]) by a class of people who are either in middle school, or lack the intelligence and critical thinking of the average human being; hence it doesn't really bother me personally when people use it as an insult (though it's possible the person might be roleplaying this particular class of individual)  ;)

Sincerely I see cursing/swearing really childish. And in a circumstances when it is used as rhetorical means, it sounds unintelligent.
( If stated with platitude, You hear it from a people from "school of hard knocks" used as rhetorical means in local bars and in social media.)

What comes to homophobia, It is common to intolerant people, who are not generally good at perceiving matters in a big picture.

Im gonna say it, i make homophobic jokes, racist jokes all types of jokes all the time, do i think being homophobic or racist to insult/directly harm some on is okay? Hell no. Its wrong. Its okay in character as its roleplay, but its not okay in OOC!
