Why not just rp_downtown_v2, it was a pretty solid map.

I would volunteer if need as I am quite experience in mapping.

I would like to add that I believe limelight has a strong enough team that could support a small team of 2-3 mappers who if given enough time could make an awesome map.

All you really need is 2 mappers, 1 modeler and 1 guy making textures. Oh and a strong computer. and time. If the mapper do a good job at optimizing the map it would be an enjoyable experience for everyone. (Oversimplified but true)

Well this is starting to sound like a plan! If we could get ideas of what the community would desire in a custom map then we could pull this off!

It's not up to us remember guys, staff need to make the decision to implement a custom map along with a server too!

It's hard for the staff to know that people would like a new/different map if people aren't discussing it or showing interest in the idea.

Perhaps another discussion thread can be made on the topic, if people are so scared that it's going to 'derail' a thread.

Can't hurt to put ideas forward.
