Alright, well this is the last night. Early in the morning we are heading off to the Hospital. This is the Pre-Op so... who knows what is going to happen. We'll either been there for the day, or two weeks. They are going to determine how bad it is. That means he could go in for the main surgery the next morning or a week from now. Just won't know until later tomorrow.
So... this is it. I will still be stalking the forums from my phone while sitting in the waiting room all day. I just won't be in the game until I get back home. I'll also be able to chat in steam.
So, here is hoping everything goes smoothly and we can get this open heart surgery done and over with.
sigh, here we go.
I've got my fingers crossed for you man, best of luck.
You know where I am if you need me.
Good luck, hope everything gets well soon, we support you in any time
ok. Well. I'm back home. Not what we were hoping for, but this is really a good thing. His Pre-Op surgery went great. They did find a ton of extra veins in the heart that they removed, so many that they ran out of supplies and had to wait for extras. There was one that they couldn't clear out but hope to get it when the main surgery is done. It took the entire day to get everything done. As I type this, I've been up for 18 hours now.
They went thru his neck and groin so we have to treat him in those areas and make sure he doesn't move much for 24 hours.
Either Monday or the follow Monday they will have a conference call with our primary doctor to determine when the open-heart surgery will be. And it sounds like it could be anywhere between this Monday or the Summer. Yay. More waiting. For the big one.
So, great news. He is doing great. He's home after a full day of Pre-Op, he's behind me happy and content. Bad news, we have to make yet another trip in the near future and do this all over again, this time for a guaranteed long term between 5-10 days at least.
Great to hear, let's hope for the best
I thought I'd throw some pictures down. He's our youngest boy of three. He had a rough night, could not get comfortable.

Very good news man. Happy to hear of the result so far. Best wishes from me and the team.
Sad to hear he had a rough night man :/ hope he sleeps better soon!
Very happy to hear that everything went great with the first operation!
That's very good news! Glad to hear it all went well.
Just a small update.
So it is scheduled now. January 30th he'll be called in for another Pre-Op. Then on the 31st will be the main surgery. It is good to have it scheduled now. It is something we can now plan for instead of just sitting around not knowing if we are leaving tomorrow.
Excellent! Thoughts going out to you and your family.
Keep it going man , you got my love! Just hope the best for you and your son!
