Hi everyone,

I've added a couple of new updates to our gamemode. First, the cops. The police force now have access to two new police vehicles, with more possibly on the way depending on how the new vehicles balance. They're both Dodge Chargers, with one being an undercover vehicle. In order to make the undercover vehicle viable, a civilian charger has also been added, so that gives us three new vehicles. The police variants are locked to the second donation tier, as we've been looking to give our higher-paying donators a few small benefits for a while. Depending on how these vehicles balance, other ways of accessing them may be introduced in the future.

If you don't have time to hop onto the servers and see for yourself, you can watch the preview here (and don't forget to subscribe!) :
The robbers section is a little more interesting. Three new items of clothing have been added, each with a mask. When wearing these masks, much of your IC information is hidden, making it more difficult for other players to identify you. It primarily supports good roleplay, as metagaming is always possible, but this should make roleplay heists/kidnapping and the like much more interesting. We have intentions of upgrading this system in the future to actually work with heists, or perhaps even clues.

A few other bugs have been fixed, such as resupply not working properly on occasion and the SS being able to handcuff each other.
Great job as always faustie.
Special thanks to the content team for spending allot of time and putting allot of effort into creating that into an idea and a plan then forwarding it to you.

I'm sure we're credited about it somewhere...

Good job Obay.
Aye, of course, thanks to those involved in the content team for their work, and for the next upcoming update.
I like the mask feature, hiding information like that makes it much more interesting to do criminal RP.
Brilliant job lads, keep up the good work and content!
Pretty damn cool, now we can finally put haste on stopping those speed limit breakers
Did sombody say update?

That unmarked dodge charger needs at least 10x as many lights on the front as it currently does... does not meet any lighting requirements at all
also it is unmarked not undercover \>Sad

this is an example of a charger that sort of meets the lighting requirements for most depts

Good job with the update.  Good to see more variety going.  One thing that was brought up today that may need to be addressed.

A question came up with an officer asking if he could use a civilian version for his Undercover operation.  I was thinking no as there is an undercover version available.  But, that is up for debate.
Depending on the President's/Commander's stance on the matter, I'd generally say that it would be ok so long as they say so. After all, police units have used plenty of civilian cars before and we've allowed it as it extends roleplay. They'll just have to contend with lower performance (the police version has better acceleration and top speed) and no actual lights, so it might be much harder to catch a boy racer.

When in doubt, just ask the admin on server and abide by whatever decision he makes, even if you don't agree with it - if two admins give conflicting opinions, as can occasionally happen if it's in regards to a new situation, simply bring it up with one of our SAs or more admins and we can have an admin discussion and come to a clear conclusion for everyone.

If it is an actual undercover operation (i.e. an officer going undercover, plainclothes, not enforcing traffic but rather doing something bigger like a drug bust or other sting) police would use regular cars with no lights and maybe a radio.

Lights and radio antennae can be noticed and get you killed or injured.
I know that it's just hype for now, but I've noticed that there's an ever increasing amount of undercover police members at the moment. Perhaps we could limit it to two undercover units at a single time? Nearly every officer I've seen since the update has been "undercover", and the only ones who weren't were those who couldn't afford the cars.

When everybody is undercover, it limits RP and there's also less government vehicles for people to target/loot from, taking away an aspect of the game as somebody in an underground job. It's no fun for the police officers when everybody is undercover either, because they will have nobody else to RP with a lot of the time and there'll be far less action.
We'll have to see how it goes. Likely it's just hype, as the undercover cars in fact aren't of much use to police etc. in a raid or in day to day duties. They're fast and a little more sneaky, but as these new vehicles are designed to be interceptors and we don't want them to replace the standard police car they can't actually be used for resupply.
Partly thought of by Nac, would it be possible for the unmarked charger to show as a standard Dodge Charger when you look at it rather than stating it's undercover. Sort of defeats the point when you have people that want to metagame.
Another thought is what about randomising the number plate used on it each time it is spawned, so that you can't automatically identify it as being one that belongs to a certain player that regularly uses it for an undercover RP?

Second, what's the actual difference between the 50k mask suit and the 75kish one? When you use the market preview they look exactly the same.

Finally, can the identity of the person using a mic with the mask also be changed to their PlayerID as with chat/playercard when you look at them otherwise what's the point of using the mask if you regularly use your mic.
