So recently I was just generally browsing Youtube when I came across this, it made me think for a while.
https://youtu.be/DV1zBYRbebo
Something that made me think in the first video was the part where it goes "You talk trash about your 'buddies' that aren't with you." "He watches his buddy fall through four floors of a burning building."
https://youtu.be/MXx4blu4wLI
https://youtu.be/hxGh1VvmKbE

I read a story about a FireFighter running into a burning building after hearing a scream of a child inside, the building soon collapsed not long after the Fireman ran in, neither of them came out of that building. I read another story of a FireFighter trying to rush an old lady out of a burning building, the FireFighter fell through the floor and left the Woman on the top floor. In a way FireFighters dedicate their lives to their job, some days they might get a call to a fire, and that may be their last day.
You never hear any news reports about fireman brutality.
Checkmate coppers.

Uh you are wrong there sir! Here is a disturbing photo of firefighters violating my FOURTH AMENDMENT RIGHT. I am a FREE CITIZEN AND THEY ARE TRAMPLING MY ESTABLISHMENT. This type of behavior is exactly what the totalitarian dictatorship of the US wants to happen to every citizen.

I respect what they do.  It is one of those jobs that are very high risk when they get the call.  But until needed, hardly anyone thinks of them.  They are just there in the background, taking up space.  But when they are on call, they are out saving lives at the risk of their own.

Very little job options out there have this.
They have a pretty tough job. My brother's a volunteer firefighter and he's been chased out of a trailer park by people with baseball bats before. Worst case scenario is they get shot because they walked in on a meth lab. Props to firefighters here and abroad.
One of the most damn beautiful freedom and liberty things to ever see in america is a fire engine haulin ass down the road, horns and and lights going off and having an american flag wavin as it fly's by.

god bless america *freedoms internally*
Awkward moment when you post a selfie in the wrong thread.

My father had been a firefighter for 25 years, when he was forced to retire when he got into an accident at work. While he was on the way back from the hospital in the ambulance, he was rear-ended by a driver who was texting and going 50 in a 20 zone. He sustained a back injury and has gone through a few of a long line of treatments. All the dangerous parts of the job and this is how he has to quit.
I appreciate this post Winter. Thank you.
cops r better
Meanwhile the firemen here - or rather Bomba - get called mostly to remove snakes from houses; in our case 'twas a Monitor Lizard.

+Respect for them all, though.
Currently volunteer in training for firefighter at the local fire dept, shit's tough but I love it

I only have one picture that's rather bad, it's a pic from a night where we were training our use of SINE radios

I hope the firefighter got money in a civil suit because of that
Heres a few videos of what its like inside these burning buildings, first one is just training so you can actually see:

And then another one which is a bit harder to see, but this isn't training:
