Your Name: lods of spooke

Issued by: [L²] Rocket

Blacklist ID: 62238

Server: Evocity V33x

Why should you be unblacklisted?: The blacklist in question was issued for CDM, which stands for car deathmatch, but if I run someone over by accident it's surely not a deathmatch, as I did not intend to start a deathmatch if I didn't intend to kill anyone. My car simply clipped on the curb and it caused it to spin into him.
In addition, I feel the administrator did not handle the situation properly. Even after he made it clear he was about to blacklist me, I asked him: "What should I do then? Might as well learn as it looks like I'm getting blacklisted anyway."
To which he replied: "I'm pretty sure you know what you could have done there as I just said you need to get out and roleplay it out." - "You clearly seem to not care at all."

I find it unfair that he simply makes this assumption that I 'know' what to do, and refuses to teach me, and also the assumption I don't care. If I didn't care, why would I even play the server? He simply says "Get out and RP it out" and doesn't supply any detail. But the way I see proper RP as a corleone member anyway is not to get out and crouch over someone's body, no less a police officer after I run them over. Why sacrifice my criminal underworld, and the fact I'm smuggling drugs just to see if one cop I don't even know is okay? I feel that I am in the right RP background here.

Disclaimer: This is not intended to be an admin abuse thread, as the admin did not abuse any powers, I simply feel the situation was not handled correctly.

The reason on why it is called Car Death Match was it is short for CDM. Doesn't matter what I've called it but the reason is all the same.

You've ran me over while I was standing on the side walk, you did not stop to RP it out or call a paramedic, regardless of there being a paramedic that time or not. You did not try to RP it out at all.

The reason on why I said that you didn't care was because you said that I was going to blacklist you anyways which meant that you didn't really care about what I was talking to you about.

You've got plenty of hours and experience within the CityRP gamemode as a whole to understand that if you run over a player you need to RP it out. I don't need to teach you that.

There is a difference between not caring and accepting on obvious fate, you know that. This does not mean I accept my blacklist was valid in any way whatsoever, I just knew I was getting blacklisted and would have better luck on the forums.

Also, did you not read the second half of the last paragraph?

Want to touch on anything there at all? You want me to RP out running someone over, where the correct RP would surely be to drive away from the scene of the crime, no? As I see it I have still played my role correctly in the situation.

Edit: Let's give more of a basis, let's say I am a civi just driving around the city in my car, and I run somebody over. Now I'm just a regular guy who has never experienced any form of injuring or killing someone before, of course I'd be shocked and get out of the car to check if they are okay. But as a corleone who desperately needs to transport his illegal goods from point A to point B, and runs over a COP in the process, they wouldn't get out of the car, with drugs in it, to check if they were alright.
Update: The blacklist has now expired, but the appeal still stands as I want it removed from record.
With excuses like those anyone can get away with CDM, frankly this isn't how it works. If you run over someone you get out and Role-play it out. Wither you think it suits your RP or not.

You run over someone, you call a paramedic.
You run over someone, you ignore it and keep driving away and make up a story to it later then it is CDM.

With every rule you can make up a background story that could make it fair. With your logic you can RDM because your a Serial Killer and you can break FearRP because you're a trained ex-milatry unit who isn't afraid of a weapon.

Anyone could make up a story. Just because you did doesn't mean that it is an excuse.

Denied.
