You have people from Oceania, High pings, They don't complain and rather play on with us. Just this isn't a good nor is it a bad thing but American servers simply shouldn't happen.
This.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you.
Americans are what, 6-8 hours behind europe and le britannia
When its night for us, its either early morning or mid day for them.
I hardly see any americans on, so it can't really split the community,it just gives americans better pings

Preditor, for example, joined the servers through a friend on Steam who was playing on the server at the time.

Don't forget though, players are more than welcome to switch between EU and US servers as they please because their account will be synced across servers. The reason we have this dedicated server is to reach those who can't find our servers and play during very different times to European players.

Why split up US and EU players on separate servers, when they can be together using a CDN...

Why is something you need to discuss with development as that came down to more technical back-end things I don't involve myself with. As for splitting up the players; it isn't an issue seeing as though EU and US players don't play on the same server for long due to timezones.
To all those who think with the new US server will split the community up.

Peak times are usually 7pm - 9pm GMT+1 for Europe. That's about 1pm - 3pm for Americans. Considering 80% of the playerbase still goes to school or college, there aren't any Americans playing at that certain time.

Peak time for the US would be 1am - 3am for Europeans. I was on the server the day Operation Refresh was released at about 2am. There were approximately 6 people online, all Europeans waiting for the update.

What can be concluded out of all this is that Americans don't play on LL. Otherwise the server would reach its peak once again at about 2am GMT+1.
Having a new server which is actually visible for the US and also has good ping does not bring any negative aspects with it.

Typed this on my phone, sorry for the formatting and horrible syntax.
As an American, I log into whatever server has the most people in it. Since the crash however, the time I can usually play has no players on either server. I tend to login and stand around waiting for a bit before moving to something else.

If the U.S. server means more people on at my time, perfect.

Right now, the only time I get to play with people is during the weekend.
