Greetings!
With the opening of our YouTube channel (
Subscribe to us!), we are now in the process of making a trailer.
We started drafting out plans, posing ragdolls, positioning props... but then we realised:
"Why not get our players to help?"
After all, who better to show off the community than those who are a part of it?
And so, I cordially invite you to enter submissions to be featured in the Limelight trailer!
We want our trailer to highlight the greatest elements of Limelight from
your perspective.
How do I enter?
It's all very straightforward. Record a video or take pictures of something in-game: this could be anything from participating in a roleplay, to witnessing a shootout, or a time-lapse of someone building!
Upload it to your own YouTube channel (public, so we can link it if your entry is accepted), and then reply with your submission to this thread. If we like your video, it will become a part of Limelight's trailer, featuring on the channel home page and all across the forums!
K, cool. Besides climbing the metaphorical ladder of extreme coolness and a warm fuzzy feeling inside that I helped make Limelight even greater, what's in it for me?
How does $250,000 straight into your in-game wallet & an exclusive Forum Title sound?

Good Luck!
You can use one of my videos if you would like.
What frames should the footage be and may I use colour correction, colour curves and other effects to change the look of the footage or should it be raw footage?
Oh and last thing. How long may the video be?
Raw footage and at least 60fps is required.

Oh and last thing. How long may the video be?
The frames should be as high as you can get.
As for editing and length, videos will be put together, so edited footage may look 'off' among raw footage; this in mind, try to submit raw footage.
It's likely that videos will be cut and edited by the Media team to get a good overall look, so don't worry too much about length.
Good luck!
RIP my 0.5Mbps upload speed...
My submission might come soon.
Also, can we use LL content on our own locally hosted server to simulate a server experience?
I have an idea for this, but i'm not sure if it could be achieved...
Look like I'll be coming on to do some building, would love to help with something I used to do for a living.
