It was a pencil case shaped like a brief case, full of wires and circuit boards. You tell me?
well.... there is... explosives....
Wheres the explosives? gunpowder, propane tank, stuff under high pressure, nails, shrapnal? Literally stuff that would easily be identified to a teacher to make her say "oh fuck me in the ass my students a terrorist"

A well hidden IED can look just like this.
Let me retort: Where's the explosives? gunpowder, propane tank, stuff under high pressure, nails, shrapnel?

Roadside bombs are a different category. You cannot compare Ahmed's clock thing to an ied. Roadside bombs are designed to be hidden. You make it look not suspicious, and when a patrol/convoy drives the bombs are detonated. You don't want wires or circuit boards exposed when making ieds, otherwise it ruins the horrible purpose it serves.

So you're saying if it's not a "roadside bomb" (IED), you're supposed to
purposely make it look like a bomb.
Can I quote you on that?
Because I thought the purpose of putting a bomb in a suitcase was to keep it hidden.
I also thought that IED stands for Improvised Explosive Device. Is taking a bunch of parts together and whacking them inside of a pencil case not an improvised project?
Just incase I was wrong on my logic, I googled it.
