Full Version: RPP restrictions removed + minor woodcutting update

Hi everyone,

It's been a pretty hectic day as I'm sure you're all aware, so there hasn't been a huge deal of updating, though I've been working on other improvements to the woodcutting system which should be released tomorrow.

I've removed the RPP restrictions on a few items: the SWAT Van, the gas mask, and tommy gun. Please note that while there are all available for purchase, at some point we will be implementing a new system and your items may be refunded, which may harm your finances you if you sell them on prior to this.

I've added a simple stamina drain to the basic woodcutter's axe for realism's sake and to nerf the woodcutting a little. Tomorrow I'll be looking into making trees get 'cut down' and turn into stumps after a certain amount of hits (in the hundreds), at which point it'll take a while for them to re-grow. I'll also be adding more trees around the map.

Thought there will be a new roleplay reward system than RPPs?

I dont think youll need to nerf it too much though. To be fair its a solid way to mkae money but its not too overpowerd. People doing 70-100k a hour might have lambos or almost infinite inventroy Space. I think its a good thing to have a lumberjack system like that and i hope it stays as profitable as it is. I would rather implement alternative probably harderĀ  or faster ways to make some money like a harvest or mining system. this would probably prevent us all from hanging around the same spot. But the over all idea is quite good and i doubt people would chop wood for 50 each piece or if it takes the double time (1/8 chanche to get a log each second) to actaully chop it.
The stamina adition although it fits the RP, is going to make a tedious task, even more tedious and frustrating.

I can say for sure, this will drop the money won by hour, considering now we'll have to rest.

We'll see how it will work out, but I can't see it as a good thing, considering the system we already had in place.

Everything else seems okay.

System was already implemented on v33x, like I expected, thanks to the stamina system, people no longer care about the woodcutting and everyone is back to contrawhoring.

I still can't buy the Gas Mask, weird.
The RPP restrictions still seem to be in place. Unsure if this is due to a server crash required or due to some issues in the update. As I actually tried to purchase it and it came up saying I required the RPP
I'm sure it'll be added in the next crash or restart.
I think the woodcutting was nerfed a bit too much.. I mean I love that you nerfed it because it was just too big of an income but now I think the income is smaller than it should be.. Maybe make it so there is more chance to get the pine log or make it so it sells for more? For my taste it got nerfed too much Smile

EDIT: I take it back.. It's perfect.. Maybe it should just take 5% of stamina instead of 9%?
Or keep it the way it was but increase log inventory size and that you need to "rework" the wood on a workbench and after that you can sell it?

I'll check the RPP things shortly.

Stamina was raised because the entire server was woodcutting; while this is a good passive way to get money, it had to be nerfed a little, especially as many players were starting to argue about bots etc. Crafted axes will be implemented which do not require as much stamina to use (better weighting, sharper blade, etc.) and which cut wood slightly faster, they'll just take a little effort to make.

Once trees can actually be cut down, the stamina usage may also be lowered.
*clears throat*

Now that I have a lambo, I can finally focus on doing wood cutting in a more RP way, and less of a "grind" way.

Can't wait to see more updates to this system ;P
