There has been an idea floating around that, in order to make the Lamborghini a truly limited item, we lock it on the market once 21 have been sold, similar to the Lamborghini IRL. Obviously we'd probably release more in the future, but what do you think of this idea? It'd be the first truly rare item on LimeLight; while most players are still struggling for money, this is rapidly changing, and as such in a couple of weeks it's feasible that many players will have enough for a Lamborghini. As it's such an incredible car, we do not want this. I see there being three options:
1: Lock the Lamborghini temporarily and only release new ones at certain times.
2: Make the Lamborghini burn fuel at triple rates, and also take 10 toolkits to repair, not 2.
3: Option 2 for the Lamborghini, but add a hypercar which utilizes option 1, and also costs $3m. Perhaps the Lykan HyperSport?
What do you think? We need opinions fairly quickly, as the economy doesn't wait.
As said on steam.
Refund all the lambo buyers, top the price up a bit, make it limited as you wanted, make the new car I suggested to you the new lambo, top that to around 1.7m.
People will only be able to get a certain amount of lambos, sky rocketing the price to crazy amounts, while people can still own the replacement for the lambo, it just makes the lambo owners "cool to own such a rare car"
I'd go with option one.
With maybe increasing the amount as the community grows. One concern though would be with inactive players that own one. If people leave and keep the car, that number will decrease.
Option 1. Make it rare, let's say a few days per (X) month(s) the car will be for sale.
Option 2 seems a bit weird to me. Players already spent much on the car so I don't think that's necessary.
Option 3 seems good but not at this moment. After a few weeks the economy should have a huge boost. I could see this being a thing then but not just yet.
Iacs got it.
Refund all the cars currently worth above 150k or so, and actually rework the car market.
Lambos should be rare full stop. A way to do this in the short term is to make it super expensive. Long term obviously what you proposed is great, and I like the idea.
BUT. but but but. You need to make sure it's priced right. With the addition with woodcutting, it's possible to get a decent car within an hour of playing the game. Fair enough, and is welcome. But it's also possible to get a lambo in around 15 hours just through woodcutting, less with contra, even less with weed etc. That's definitely fishy.
Make the lambo something which even the most contra-farming peeps actually struggle to afford. The lambo, regardless of what people say, is not needed to roleplay, but is only a vanity item. What's the point in having a vanity item if it's A: Buyable with extremely little work needed. (Via selling donator, methmaking for 3 or 4 hours, or lumberjacking for 16 hours or so.) and B: Not actually rare.
Love the direction you're going in, but set the bones of the car market right before considering changes like this.
Also mandatory paragraph about removing the sale of donator etc. Don't think I need to add any more to this, but obviously the sale of donator will mean those whom have sold it will gain a major advantage over those whom havn't.
Option 1 seems to be the best.
Option 2
if you are driving dat car fast as a roadrunner that fuel should burn quicker and maybe we should add some tank sizes on some cars
But yet again Option 1 makes it way more rare to get
Its a split for me
1: Lock the Lamborghini temporarily and only release new ones at certain times.
I like this the first one. And i really hope its implemented cause i rush to get one of that 21 lambos..
2: But Dont like to use 10 toolkits because of the proppushers that sometimes ruin our cars...
3: There are better cars than that... like bugatti, Koegnisegg
I'd go so far as to argue that 21 lambos is too much, considering the size of our community.
Currently, there's always a single lambo on the server, or so it seems, often there's more.
And as far as i'm aware, there's only been about 12 bought so far. Bearing in mind it's going to be almost double that, they're not going to be rare at all? You'll actively see them on the server pretty much 24/7.
Honestly, i'd rather it be a system where only a literal handful of people can have it.

I believe they're sould out actually.
There are too many lambo's on the server already.
It lacks the wow/rare factor, cause there's always 3 to 5 lambo's around on each server.
It should be extremelly rare and hard to get, and it's obvious it should burn gas like hell.
Option 1 is definatly an interesting option! I'd go for that.
If option 1 is used i would advise against "first to come is first to serve" that will make it a bit unfair if you live in an unlucky timezone. I would instead sell the lambo for 24 hours and give them to 21 random buyers (the rest gets refunded), makes it a bit more fair in my eyes.
Option one.
The market description literally tells us "only 21 were ever made", so may as well stick to it.
Besides, this, it'll make a true player-driven-priced item.
