Here is my point.  You guys seem to be missing it.

3 Staff members went to another community and trashed it.  Staff members are representatives of a community.  So it is fair to judge a community based on the actions of it's staff members.  No listed apology exists on the FL forums.

Apologizing on YOUR OWN COMMUNITY for actions you did on ANOTHER COMMUNITY is pretty much like killing someone then apologizing to YOUR family for doing it but not THE VICTIM'S FAMILY.


As for forgiveness.  Why should anyone forgive these actions when they are this recent?  Someone please explain how an apology listed somewhere other than where it should be, should be accepted.

As for judgement.  It's fair to judge someone based on their actions.  Fultz has 4 years of experience on FL alone.  Over 3 of them are administrative years.  It's not like he nor his team that decided to do what they did are new players.  Not like they don't know what acceptable behavior on generally every RP server is on a basic level.

As for being angry about this.  If I wasn't mad, I wouldn't care.  I'm pissed off because good people did some bad shit, and even worse the members here support it to some extent, even to the point that they told me to leave when I said the first thing about how it was unacceptable.  It WAS UNACCEPTABLE.  Plain and simple.

As for issues with Soul.  I've had issues with Soul for YEARS.  I was demoted from staff because he talked shit, I talked shit back.  In the review on my admin status, people used stuff UNRELATED to the case against me.  So when you guys rage about how Soul spends his money or try to claim he evaded taxes or whatever stupid shit that you can't exactly prove firsthand anyway, I just laugh.



You fuckers really dunno where I stand or why I'm mad, you just know that I'm mad and want to try to blindly defend people.  I've had an off and on relationship with Fultz.  I don't exactly have a lot of love for him as a person, we haven't been "friends" for a long time.  Fultz is one of the stronger admins I have met in my YEARS of being on Gmod.  Gmod.  Not FL, not in whatever other retarded community.  The entire game.  To see him do shit like this, it's horrible.


People like Chocolate Lab, I could give two shits about.  Anyone can come at me with "grow up" or "don't be childish" but till they have done something with their life, I really don't give them the time of day.


Get your servers up, do shit the way it should be done, and for fucks sake don't be a bunch of minges attacking other communities because you are pissed off.  That's all I really ask out of anyone.


As for flaming.  I really ain't flaming.  Actually, I stated my piece then people wanted to come on here and say stupid shit or basically memepost on the thread.  I know a lot of you love having the chance to take shots at me, I banned a good number of you anyway, so be mad that I got to spank you for being bad.  I don't feel bad about much involving this game.  Calling someone out for being a minge isn't one of those things.

And to be clear, they did minge.  Going around breaking rules, being a shithead, and for teh lulz is exactly what minges do.  I didn't mislabel the actions.  If you feel personally attacked by my thread title, perhaps you need to either sort out who it's directed at, or change your ways.




To those who came on this thread and actually had something to say that wasn't basically "get rekt", thanks for your feedback.  I'll return when this is actually a Gmod community and not a forum board, because as of right now, there are no servers.  When I do come on those servers, I will hold myself to the same standard I always have.  There is an acronym for how I do shit.  LDRSHIP.  It's an Army thing.  Take some time to read and understand it.


I apologize to everyone other than: Fultz, Safira, Theomenz, Ryan!, and Chocolate Labrador.  Those 5 deserve honesty.  I was honest with you.  The rest of you who feel slighted against, I didn't "come @ U" in the first place.

I doubt LL is trying to be hostile or anything. It's just the people like Jamster and idk whoever doing shit on FL forums. And yes administrators that have minged on FL should get an official punishment or something.

OT - I see your point Jokhah. It is sad that the thing ever happened though.

Jokhah, I agree with most of the things you are saying. Your logic is fine.

The administrators have been spoken to internally regarding the matter. No that does not fix what happened. No it doesn't change what happened however, there is only so much one can do to fix mistakes like that.

I do not agree with their actions nor am I pleased with them as yes, it does bring bad light to the community.

It is a shame to see you go, you are not scared to speak your mind.

Ya know, I don't sit on my own sofa smoking weed and making rants, I actually live my life and do things and at the moment all I see is you complaining at me for nothing and yet you're blaming others for their mistakes cause you have no clue about the situation.

This seems a little late mate, this issue has been dealt with and you are just bringing it to light again. They made a stupid decision but we are trying to move on from it. Why not just read the other threads and understand our opinion on it instead of making a condescending thread pointed at the entire community?

If it really is just pointed at those that have not been mature than you need to be better than them, do not make a big deal out of it. State your opinion on them if you must but making this thread really accomplishes nothing.

I respect you Jokhah but if you leave, it makes you look just as immature, judging an entire community on the actions of a minority, being to quick to jump to conclusions and not reading past statements. On the same note if you stay it just looks like you wanted attention, away for people to see your opinion individually by making this goodbye thread.

Everyone stated their opinion on the apology threads, not everyone forgave them and to be honest not all of us staff have either because we expect so much more from them. But this is a new community and a new start, that is what we have given everyone. If these staff do anything else to FL it will be the last, we want no bad blood. FL is another life, we are trying to forget about it. Bringing it up like this doesn't help anyone.

As well to add they apologized on our community which hits most of FL's community and all apologized to SoulRipper. I don't think they should be forced to post a thread on FL's community as that will literally just give people a change to talk down to them and shit on them, maybe you think they deserve that but it wouldn't help the situation, it wouldn't help people move on.

I cannot control all the staff, and I sure as hell can't control what the players do. But I have tried really hard (along with every other staff not in this situation) to not only leave on a good note but respect FL even if they don't deserve it. SoulRipper has acted just as childish during this event, but I have yet to see people posting discussing that. This is a two edged sword. I just feel it is unfair to have you sit here after we have tried to deal with this in a mature, professional manor and create more controversy around it.

They know they fucked up. People have fucked up on both sides, they are humans and people make decisions based on their emotions. Kind of like this goodbye thread. I want to be mature with you but you won't know how this server actually is until we can really show you what we hope to accomplish. I respect your decisions to make this thread but I hope you truly do give the community a chance before you leave us.

I've sent you a private message but I'll try and state it here, too.

Speaking for myself, the moments that all this occurred were just after I had woken up on the day of the Resignation.
I had missed the big meeting and I woke to my name on the list: I was shocked, confused, saddened. I was not apart of Limelight then. I was a solo player with no tags.

My intentions when I joined the server were not malicious. I wanted a final session as an admin - I also wanted to dupe some things to the normal duplicator.
I was on a TS channel with some others at the time, and I was alt-tabbed when the commotion started. I don't quite know what compelled me to see what the fuss was, but I did. Let me tell you that in my comparative-to-some short life, this is my biggest regret. When I realised just what the hell I was doing, I backed out as best I could - spawned my BMW for a last drive before getting off.

You can think what you want of me. I am paying a heavy price for my own stupid actions, and I can apologise and apologise again but it's all down to each members' opinion. We're trying our hardest to make amends as best we can and prevent repeats, but calling us retarded really doesn't help.

To jokhah, and others. Do not let these actions of haste prior to the existence of this community make you assume that Limelight is anything but another community with 287 (at this point) members willing it to be successful.

Members of Limelight has had an intentional rude tone in many threads that has been created in Fearless. Not do I only just disagree with their actions but I've also had the thought of leaving and just, sit around untill another magical community pops up or just stay out of them. I completly understand your situation and I wish you a Goodbye and good luck with whereever you might be going.

Though the staff members has made their apology and sworn that they wouldn't do it again. Many players fail to see how emotional of a minute it must've been for some of these staff members and just want to see the worst in them. I'd like to say that the same goes with the members, yet again. Many of these members havent apologized and sees nothing wrong with their actions towards FL. I'm staying in Limelight because they have something to offer, something none of us have seen yet and something I'm willing to stay for to see. I can't wait for the new amazing update to come and I can't wait to play all these amazing people. Nothing will change their imature actions and I wont suddenly start hating every single one of them because of their past actions. Just like Weaboos and cat lovers, I tend to believe that minges are yet another overused word that people chooses to make a bigger thing out of than it is. So, yeah.

Btw, Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with your grudge against the staff members. Too many people choose to look at it in the worst way possible and sorry to say. You're one of them.
