I think I’ve been watching this show for six years now.
It is a cop show, and reasonably has a lot of action, shootings, etc.
However it also shows the political side to law enforcement, and how law enforcement feel and react during certain situations such as;
- The mayor saying a man who tried to kill a cop was scared for his life.
- The emotional roller coaster an officer experiences when taking a life.
- How people like the Police Commissioner deal with false accusations from the public.
The series takes place in New York, with the Reagan family as the center of the story.
Henry Reagan - Grandfather, Retired NYPD Commissioner.
Frank Reagan - Father, NYPD Commissioner.
Danny Reagan - Son, NYPD Detective.
Erin Reagan - Daughter, Manhattan District Attorney.
Jamie Reagan - Son, NYPD Officer/Sergeant.
All in all it’s pretty interesting, and it has been the only show that I have found that adds the political aspect of the job.
