a fair economic strategy in troubled times. Hopefully the current worldwide situation will result in positive financial gains for LL
Don't know about you guys but as a kid, I definitely got more than £2 a month in pocket money and from what I've heard from multiple parents, this is barely anything compared to what they receive these days. For your extra £1 every three months you get to continue supporting the server and the dev's, you get an increase of +40 props to your prop limit and an increase in pocket size. The only downside is a small reduction in in-game cash which means nothing with the economy we currently have, even for new players. An extra 33p(ish) a month is not asking for much at the end of the day is it?

we plan to bring more stuff and continue to develop the server as always
however this all costs money and that's something we don't get as much of any more, this information is public as you can always see how much we get
costs go up same as everything else in life including what people earn, we havn't increased our price since we started 5 years ago.
over last 4 months we have cut back alot on development due to lack of funds
our prices are still really low

when looking at the money we get, keep in mind we pay paypal fees, over £100 for server costs, other services.
which doesn't leave much for paying developers and that's something we pride our self on, we pay our developer for the work they do for us.
some may think I keep your money but I don't, I get £0 unless I earn it like every other developer

It's all about optics - this should've been the main post, completely understandable why you guys are doing it and I for one am more than happy to pay a pound extra but I think what people aren't happy about is the attempt at marketing it as something new in the original post rather than just being honest and saying "look we need to up the donation costs, it's only a pound you'll be fine".

Cause most members are young, don't have a job that pays big money and have to ask if they can buy a membership to there parents.

tbh I really don't care I'll still give my money like a mindless slave.

Just take my money ok?!?!?!?

i don't think anyone's parents would refuse to pay 2$ for their young son every month

You rich bastard.... <3
It's till outstanding value for money. I do agree with Judge though and wish the reason for the changes were communicated a bit more directly in the initial post. Benefit of the doubt though, excited to see what the community can do with the added resource.

As long as this is kept transparent, and we know that the money is going towards development then I don't see any problems. Looks like a nice change, I feel like it's much better to have a 1 month membership option rather than 3.

The issue is not the amount. It is the way the team have gone about this. It took my comment to give us the reasons as to why it is happening, which I fully understand. The reasoning behind it all should of been placed in the original post. The team should be transparent with things like this. What Temar has said has summed up why the prices are increasing but why was that not stated in the first post? Why should it take someone to ask?

The full list of perks were not stated, Dr. Internet had to comment that after my comment.
Ive noticed an issue with price of the money pack
the price has been corrected to include the 10% off as advertised on main page
the few that paid full will receive partial refunds.
this offer is valid until the end of April.
I dont really get the sudden hate towards those changes - Limelights membership is already extremly cheap.
There are servers where you pay 30ish Bucks to unlock jobs only.

Limelight provides own content and even pays its devs. I dont see why you wouldnt support your server and your devs.
And besides. Its 1 Buck.

Can you show the hate? No one was hating.

Read the original post. My comment stands. It is not hating it is pointing that fact out.

If you go on to read Temar and Dr. Internets comments then you see that it is not paying for the same stuff. If the original post was written in a way that explain what perks memberships gives and why the increase was being put in place then my comment would not of been made. However this was not done hence my comment. I am not 'hating' I am simple asking as there was no information at the time of my comment that said otherwise.

I think this is fantastic news. Now I can pay for it monthly instead of having entire months of membership wasted, simply because I was not able to play.
