Mercy Hospital - 08.03.2020 | For Immediate Release

This afternoon, A call came through Marion County emergency communications, Stating that a man had crashed his boat vessel on the Evocity lake.

1 Mercy Hospital paramedic and 1 member of the the rapid response trauma service dispatched to the incident.

Upon getting to scene the medics found the man in his vessel submerged into a rock and the man face down in the water.

medics pulled the man to shore where he was immediately given an IV of warm saline and intubated as a result of his dangerously low breathing rate.

then man was then taken to MERCY Trauma centre where external injuries were treated. Tissue injuries to the gents foot were stitched and bandaged. He was then later extubated as his breathing and overall condition improved.

the gent was then taken to the ward to start his recovery.

Mercy Hospital more like Spare Graveyard

19.03.2020 - Statement To The Public

Yesterday evening i was honoured to have the president of Evocity visit the hospital. But during this visit the alarms at the ER rang, And i was then greeted by a mercy hospital ambulance at the door. at the wheel was a newly recruited mercy retained/part time paramedic. who brought in a police officer who had just been involved in a firefight and has sustained a number of GSW's to the chest and abdomen.

He was immediately taken to the trauma theatre to begin the procedure of removing the bullets to prevent any more serious damage and diminish the risk of loss of life.

The officer is now making a slow and steady recovery from his injuries at the ward in the hospital . The team at Mercy Hospital and his colleagues wish him a speedy recovery.
