Demolition Derby forced to close after participant crushed by car
Emergency services descended on the event after a 911 call
EVOCITY, ID - One individual is in custody and another in hospital this evening after police and paramedics were called to the Demolition Derby organised by a local businessman on the Corleone Estate.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office have said a man, who they have not named, who was the owner of the site was arrested after allowing a vehicle to run a participant over, resulting in this participant's hospitalisation.
Deputies speak to a number of detained persons
They said three others were initially detained and searched, before being subsequently released. The police subsequently obtained a court order, and the event was shut down.
Investigations into the incident are still ongoing, and it is unclear if the participant crushed will make a clear recovery.
