Guardsman faces charges after Governor's office "Pizza Party"

State Capitol during the inauguration of Governor Thomas A. Kirkman last month

An Idaho State Guard recruit is facing charges today under the Idaho Code of Military Justice amid rumours of an unauthorised "pizza party" in the Governor's office by Nationalist Socialist Leader and Senator Walter von Reichenau () and Liberal Representative Richard Wrangler ().

At approximately half 8 this evening, the Idaho State Guard (who provide security for the state capitol building) on a routine patrol of the building's upper floors, discovered the senator, representative and a currently unnamed, armed female guardsman eating pizza and drinking alcohol in the Governor's office after he had went home.

According to sources, when challenged by security staff about his presence in the office, NSPI Leader Walter von Reichenau, apparently got up, aggressively approached staff and said to them that he was "a close friend of the Governor because I [sic] came second in the election". As persons are not allowed in the office without the permission of the Governor, all were removed by security staff. The Guardsman Recruit was disarmed of her service weapon and sent to wait for her Sergeant and Lieutenant in the security office.

Following the incident, the Guardsman Recruit was charged with a number of offences under the Idaho Code of Military Justice and was taken in to custody by the State Guard's military police. She is currently being held in custody at the Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Oakley where she awaits a court martial date.

The State Guard has stated it is not currently reporting either Senator von Reichenau or Representative Wrangler for any criminal charges, however says it has reported both to the state ethics committee for misconduct, and Representative Wrangler to his party for misconduct. Antifascist groups are calling for Reichenau's resignation following the incident.

Minutes after the "pizza party" incident, Representative Wrangler was seen scuffling with a Guardsman in the lobby of the Capitol, behind the desk. The cause is unknown.

EvoCity Newspaper will continue to follow the fate of both politicians and the fate of the charged Guardsman Recruit when she faces court martial at Fort Oakley.

Official statement by the Office of the President of the National Socialist Party of the State of Idaho

[NSPI] Statement related to the latest article by the EvoCity Newspaper (EBC)

The latest article written by Alyce Locke which was published in the EvoCity Newspaper is another example of the media trying to fire against the NSPI and its relatives with false news and facts. The article contains an excessive amount of misinformation and dramatization of the recent events in the Governors Office.

Already at the start of the article, Ms. Locke is speaking of a "party" which is taking place in the Governor's office. There was no "party" going on at all. Senator and President of the NSPI, Dr. W. von Reichenau, was sitting on the couch located in the Governor's office together with Liberal Representative Richard Wrangler and an Idaho State Guard recruit which was dispatched to ensure the safety of Dr. von Reichenau. Wrangler and von Reichenau were having a talk and ate a pizza whilst doing so. Both politicians offered the ISG-Recruit some pizza. Afterall she had to protect the Senator the entire day already, so both wanted to be friendly and offered some.

The article continues with the words "and drinking alcohol in the Governor's office". None of the persons on scene ever touched any kind of alcohol. The alcohol located on the table is most likely owned by the Governor himself and is still standing on that table as of now. It was also located on that table before the politicians and the guard entered the room. As said before, the alcohol is untouched and does not belong to either von Reichenau, Wrangler or the Guardsman-Recruit. This is a great example of a made-up story to try and denounce a popular politician. This is a great example of an attempt to denounce Dr. von Reichenau with a story based on lies. The attempt failed miserably.

Ms. Locke then decided to continue and describe the Senators' behavior as "aggressive". According to von Reichenau, the State Guards entered the room with assault rifles drawn, shouting at him and Wrangler, missing any kind of respect for both politicians. One of the State Guards then continued to argue with Sir Reichenau about the room they are currently inside. The State Guard named Cpt. Hawthorne then proceeded to insult von Reichenau, telling him to "get the fuck out of the room". This behavior is truly inappropriate and aggressive.

Both the politicians and the State Guard Recruit were not aware of the fact that one is not allowed to sit in the Governor's office. If the recruit would've been informed in a proper way by its supervisors, this incident could've been avoided. Instead, the ISG decided to let an uninformed recruit guard von Reichenau, who was already victim to several attacks and attempts to end his life.

The guardsman recruit was then removed and Dr. von Reichenau was left without any kind of protection. He was then kidnapped and nearly killed by a left extremist a couple of hours after he was left without protection. This also happened because of extreme misconduct by another State Guard. Details to this case will be made public when von Reichenau is not hospitalized anymore. The NSPI will file reports against all supervisors on scene and the mentioned guard who failed to do his duty, also requesting suspension/administrative leave of all the involved State Guards.

The ISG threatening to report Dr. von Reichenau to the state ethics committee is extremely disrespectful considering the excessive level of failure by the State Guards themselves.

The NSPI will not tolerate any kind of false information spread to denounce any of its party members.
These recent events have deeply shaken the confidence of the NSPI in the ISG and the EBC. Until proper security for all NSPI members is guaranteed, all members of the NSPI will reject taking part in any kind of political debate in the Senate etc. in order not to risk their lives.

Official Reply to NSPI

Dear Senator Walter von Reichenau,

It has come to my attention that you feel that you have been mistreated by members of the Idaho State Guard.

Let me begin by assuring you that my Guardsmen take every precaution possible in order to ensure the security of the Capitol and those who work there, like yourself.

I have spoke with those responsible for today's incident in the Governor's office and am satisfied that their response was measured and appropriate to what could amount to an aggravated trespass within the Governor's office, in direct contradiction to Mr Kirkman's personal wishes and orders. I do, of course, intend to speak to Governor Kirkman, myself, tomorrow, when he is in contact hours.

I do apologise if there was, perhaps, some "rough handling" during the incident in the Governor's office, unfortunately this is part and parcel of being discovered by the guards in a restricted area. Rest assured that the Guardsmen that handled you are thankful at your cooperation.

As for the Recruit, whilst she was temporarily posted as a security escort to yourself on an outing to the city (this was authorised by Captain William Hawthorne of A Company, 3rd Battalion), she subsequently did not return to her command or switch her radio on after this, and as such was apparently absent without official leave, aggravated by the fact that she was in possession of her service weapon, a Glock 17 pistol, at this time. Due to this and her subsequent behaviour following the incident, her commanding officer (Captain Hawthorne) believed it was necessary, appropriate and within military interests to file official charges against her, and she was subsequently detained by the military police and remains in custody at Fort Oakley Disciplinary Barracks.

We regret to hear about your kidnap and subsequent hospitalisation in the hours following the aforementioned incident. Regrettably and unfortunately, it is not possible for us to provide 24/7 security for all members of the legislature, but we are in a position to respond to security incidents such as the incident you mention if we are informed. It sounds like some additional security measures on your person should be considered - especially given the recent bomb scare (fortunately not a real bomb) addressed to yourself. I would encourage you to get in contact with the Capitol's Security Staff Office, who can liaise with the Military Division (State Guard) and the police in order to ensure that adequate security measures are put in place.

If you believe there was any misconduct, or indeed gross misconduct, please do not hesitate to get in contact with myself and make a formal report. I can promise a full and transparent investigation will ensue, between the State Guard's Military Police and the Idaho Military Division CID.

Please, if you have any more concerns or questions, do not hesitate to get in contact with me. I would also be happy to meet you in person to discuss any concerns you have with the State Guard.

Regards,
