One thing that irks me is that there's one way in and out of the city. This leaves zero variety to police chases, as you're going in a circle either inside or outside the city for 5-10 minutes then get t-boned by a Tahoe and caught. The map is like a perverted double circulatory system, and it means that no matter what you do, you're in a tunnel stuffed with spikestrips and arrested extremely quickly.

The only RP Truenorth had was contrawhoreRPInTheMountains™. Rockford had zero space to build and only one used Main St shop that was regularly frequented. On Evo, Main St is always buzzing and the chance than RP interaction occurs is 1000x more likely on Evo than on the previous two maps simply because Main St is such a central hub.

I played a lot before I left. I even came back before I knew we were going back to Evo so that point is invalid. Rockford had limited but enough space to build (Ask Rhys). Evocity gets boring after you see the same RP 3 days in a row. Before the player count dropped, TN was thriving with all kinds of RP: train rescue, lake rescue, saving someone from a broken fair ride, searching for a criminal on the mountain, being apart of an underground criminal organization, guarding a bank. Evocity is boring and repetitive: criminals try to take over the city and police go *pow *pow, corleones build big wall and police raid, or criminal group takes hostage and hides at lake and demand money.

However, I do enjoy the player interaction.
Performance
30-50 FPS with around 40 players on
70-80 FPS with 20 or less.

I felt around the same with previous maps, but then again we've had a low player pop for a long time on TN.

Roleplay
Player interactions seem to be a bit more concentrated, though individual roleplays are still spread out throughout the map, which is good.

Missing
I miss the elevation as well as the variety that previous maps offered. My biggest grievence is the lack of off-the-grid locations, the lack of wilderness and feeling the sensecof serene isolation.

I feel as though while I don't dislike Evocity and certainly like it over many maps, it seems very boring to me that almost all areas feel like I am never leaving the city, but instead am cruising around the suburbs, which to me, a guy who has been living in a suburbs for the last 16 years feels extremely boring.

Conclusion
I like Evocity. It has grown to be a part of my childhood. However, it has been many years since it was last updated and thus lacks innovation.

It is CityRP. The problem with serenity on maps like Truenorth is that RP never happens because not enough people are in the same area at the same time. It's not a singleplayer game, so you can gawk at the low graphics scenery in sandbox if you want. But instead, people just go contrawhoreRPInTheMountains™.

So IMHO, EvoCity helps fulfil the purpose of this gamemode, a City Roleplay.

I like the city aspect of CityRP, however I believe that our Lord had not created Earth for us to stay inside our concrete jungles and man-made dwellings and not appreciate his art.

 Genesis 1:11-12

"Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them"; and it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good."
