2019 Idaho (Lt.) Gubernatorial Special Elections (Candidacy)
CANDIDACY REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN, SEE THE FORM BELOW
The 2019 Idaho Gubernatorial and Lieutenant Gubernatorial Special Elections will take place between July 9-12, 2019, to elect the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Idaho. The election will determine who will fill the remaining three years of the term of Republican governor Brad Little, who was elected in 2018 and resigned in March 2019. Additionally, the election will determine who will fill the remaining three years of the term of Republican lieutenant governor Janice McGeachin, who also resigned their office.
Those who wish to appear on the ballot for governor must send in their application for candidacy using
this form, by 23:59 on July 8. Likewise, those who wish to appear on the ballot for lieutenant governor must send in their application for candidacy using
this form, by 23:59 on July 8. After this deadline, candidates will be declared and guidance to the public for voting in the election will be provided.
