To sum it up, 1.5 million volunteers planted 66 million trees, ranging over 20 species of tree, in order to help India compy, with the Paris Climate Agreement.

This is part of India's bid to increase it's forest space by 5 million hectares by 2030.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of the state of Madhya Pradesh, said the event was a "historic day".
Personally I think this is great news!
Although this is great news and all, I wonder if they're planning on sorting out their sewage / rivers any time soon since that seems to be much more of a pressing issue for them currently...

Tree's are overrated, coral is where it's at. And they ain't doing much good with all their waste being pumped in the Ganges. I am all for people planting tree's, but at the end of the day it's the ocean that keeps us breathing, and our weather in order.
