Good day all,

We are Burns Construction & Civil Engineering LTD. If you do not know who we are we are a small contracting company which started in Truenorth in 2015. We have worked on a few projects, like renovations of the Town Hall, constructing the Mel's Diner Apartments and contracted with 2 other companies to build Truenorth Bus Station located at  Behind Mountainside Autosales!

Now we are writing to you all to notify you of the works taking place at 123 Railway Avenue soon, restricting a small area outside 123 Railway from parking, and the noise that you will hear for a short amount of time whilst we renovate the interior of the new casino going in there called "Casino Sérendipité" (Say-ron-dih-pee-tay)! We are over the moon to be able to work closely with this company and also to help the old restaurant that used to take up residence at this location!

It is an absolute pleasure to work with this company and the city of Truenorth and we will try our hardest to keep the noise down!

Shown below is the floorplan of what the casino should look like, and also some rules and regulations of the site!

Rules & Regulations:

  1. A construction site IS NOT a play area, please keep your children away and inform them of the dangers of this!
  2. Wear your PPE on site at all times
  3. Do not put yourself or others at risk
  4. Follow safety signs and procedures
  5. Report defects and near misses
  6. Never tamper with equipment
  7. If in doubt – Ask | Better safe than sorry. Mistakes on construction sites can cost lives - don’t let it be yours.

Dear all,

Due to issues with the planning permission, us applying for the wrong type, we have had to reapply thus delaying the start of works at 123 Railway Avenue until 11th June 2019! We apologise for this issue, and we strive to stay on time with the works, and finish when we said!

Thank you very much for reading this message from Burns Construction & Civil Engineering LTD.

Dear all,

This is an updated thread of the works at 123 Railway Avenue accommodating the new casino at this location to open this Spring!

We have had talks with police and the government and we have decided to open the pavement to the public rather than closing it all of, and also edit out fences slightly to accommodate the fire department connecting hoses to the nearby fire hydrant!

We now have emergency buttons located around the construction site which you can press if there is a major defect which shall sound an alarm in the construction site to alert the builders to stop! This will also alert the government to dispatch a police unit to that location, thus meaning that abuse of this alarm will result in not only a lawsuit from us, Burns Construction & Civil Engineering, but also a fine from the government for wasting police time, and falsely pulling a panic alarm!

As mentioned before this is not a play site and things can go wrong so don't be afraid to communicate to our builders if there is something that isn't right that could cause danger to the public, such as a split metal bar in scaffolding or a faulty light that is smoking!

We hope you have a wonderful day and hope we don't cause too much disruption!

Many thanks,

Darren Moore - Site Manager
