TRUENORTH, ID — Weyland-Yutani, a conglomerate in the business world, is doubling down on Truenorth, Idaho with a shiny new regional headquarters behind Mountainside and plans to hire dozens of new employees. The new office has been designed with custom features to meet the company's need and culture. The modern space aims to provide employees a great day-to-day experience in a collaborative environment while highlighting Weyland-Yutani's mission and core values.

"Innovation is our top priority at WY, and that is made possible by the culture we build," Chief Executive Peter Weyland told The Rockfordian. “We will retain and attract the best talent possible because of who we are, how we work, and how we treat our people, which in turn will help our employees and partners thrive."

The corporation, which has its hand in industries stretching from military-security contracting and space systems development to production and sales, expects to hire dozens of people in Truenorth over the coming months, Regional Executive Manager Alexander Heafy said in an interview. To accomodate the growth, Weyland-Yutani ordered an in-house construction of the new concrete-and-glass tower adjacent to Mountainside Auto Sales and opposite Chad's Autobody.

“This is a milestone that marks the tremendous growth Weyland-Yutani has experienced since we got started over two decades ago. Recently, employee growth has increased rapidly so our new headquarters is great for us internally and it will help us continue to lead Truenorth into the future of technological innovation and provide for the ever-increasing need for professional security services," said Heafy.

He continued: “We like to see our people as a family. Everyone comes in every day expecting to work toward their goals and the way we want to encourage that is by creating a comfortable, professional environment that helps them take in the company’s mission which is centered on 'building better worlds'. We really wanted to bring that pursuit to life for our employees and visitors."

Orignally, the regional headquarters were supposed to be built on the parking lot site across from the Wallace & Wallace Bank and City Hall, but the defence contractor dropped those plans in the face of security concerns and potential complaints from local residents with respect to environmental aesthetics. The relocation of the project coincided with Weyland-Yutani's purchase of Mountainside Auto Sales to be used as a surplus.

Additionally, the conglomerate is planning for further investment in Truenorth, with arrangements being made for the construction of the 'WY Megamall & Arena', as well as various military-purposed facilities.
