Dane Konen. Son of Mia Wallace and Kristoffer Konen. He was born in London on the 7th of July, 1987. Dane had a tough upbringing. His father was constantly in and out of prison, and was a familiar face at their local Police Department. His mother, however, was the opposite. She saved lives for a living. Devoting her life to the National Health Service as a paramedic. When Dane turned 16, in an effort to separate Dane from the life of crime his father lived, Mia took Dane along with her to work most days. When he wasn’t with his mother at work, he was on the streets. This balance was good enough for Dane.

By the time Dane reached 20, he had already been arrested twice. His mother quickly grew tiresome of his criminal ways, and as Dane’s father spiraled into alcoholism, she decided to move away from their home town in London. America seemed like the best option for them. Shortly after them being there, Mia was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She died a few months later, the cancer only having been noticed in its later stages.

Now alone in America, Dane was stuck. No job, no house, no girlfriend, and only a handful of friends that he didn’t even know very well. He started volunteering at the local hospital where he lived, in Los Santos. This however, wasn’t great pay. It was when Dane saw an advertisement for a private military company who worked primarily in Rockford, Minnesota, called Lionscrest Incorporated. He decided to give it his all and apply for the medical division.

A couple of years passed and Dane had been through a handful of promotions. The 1 hour flight from Los Santos to Minnesota every couple of months when he was dispatched wasn’t a huge issue, considering Lionscrest paid for all flight expenses.

Aged 22, Dane was working full time at the hospital in Los Santos, and on reserve for dispatch at Lionscrest Incorporated as a field medic. This was where he wanted to be, and life was good. Dane never really understood what it was like to have a family at that age. This was until he met Sir Cornelius Hightower III. Also having been born in London, the two quickly became good friends. Cornelius introduced Dane to the life of the safari, and Dane grew further away from his life of crime.

This changed, though. Dane wasn’t earning enough, and the stress of having 2 jobs, on top of looking after Cornelius was too much for him. He contacted an old friend in London, and flew him over with whatever money he had left. The plan Dane had would’ve been worth any money he could spend on making it work. They were going to rob the Union Depository of Los Santos. His father had robbed a bank back in London when he was just aged 12. After being released from prison when Dane was 18, he had told him all the stories of how he did it, how he almost got away with it, and the mistakes he knew he made. Remembering where his father went wrong, he wasn’t about to make the same mistakes, or so he thought.

The robbery was somewhat successful. Dane got away with most of the cut, as his friend was shot during the escape, and died shortly after. Constantly avoiding the police, Dane took a similar path to his father’s. With Cornelius away on vacation in London, he had nothing and nobody to lean on. That’s where alcohol came into the picture. Dane became depressed, and turned himself into the police just a few weeks after robbing the bank. They were confused, but somewhat merciful. The judge sentenced him to 6 years  7 months in prison.

Dane got out of prison at age 29. Cornelius was writing him letters during his time in prison, and he would write back. When he got out, Cornelius accepted him with open arms. Having pondered on it for a while, he decided to adopt Dane into the Hightower family formally. He asked, for the reputation of the Hightower family, that Dane change his name, all fees paid for by the Hightower family. This is where Dane Konen became Isaac Hightower.

Isaac and Cornelius fled together to Rockford, Minnesota, where he owned a small house that he used when out on call with Lionscrest Incorporated. After living there for a while, Isaac now aged 31, Cornelius left America to return to London. This deeply saddened Isaac, however, it didn’t mean he would leave the Hightower family businesses. Before Cornelius left for London, he introduced Isaac to another family member, Alistair Hightower, whom he presently works with now. It is unknown what Isaac does for Alistair. Some believe he works as security detail for his financial company, others think there may be something deeper going on.
