13 years ago, on 26th of October 2005, I was a little boy, 5 years old. Me, my mom, my best friend at the time and his mother, we hanged around in the market and ate a falafel together, we were sitting quietly on a table, talking and playing for maybe 30-35 minutes. After a while, my friend and his mother were leaving, I don't remember why he had to leave but he was probably tired or what a typical 5 year old would feel at the time. So we had our goodbyes and we all left for home, only to hear an explosion about 30 minutes later when we just got home. My mom was panicking and got worried, she quickly turned on the television and switch to the news channel. I witnessed the exact same place, where I just was and spent the day on live television. I seen stains of blood on a white car, fruits of the market were everywhere on the ground, junk that flew up and dropped from the roof as a result of the bomb shockwave, the falafel stand was damaged and seen the walls behind where the owner served me were black from explosion, Israeli Border Police and police officers were blocking the scene and hundreds of witnesses gathering from a distance.

Information about the attack:

The Islamic Jihad Movement of Palestine took responsibility for the attack, and the suicide bomber who carried out the attack was Hassan Abu Zeid, he was released a month before the attack from an Israeli prison as part of a deal to release terrorists because he was considered a terrorist who had no "blood on his hands". Well, now he does...

55 civilians were non fatally injured, five of them were in severe condition.

Witness reports and details of the incident:

"I seen a wounded man without a stomach"
Sharon Raviv, relates that he was nearby when the blast occurred and immediately ran to the scene to help the injured: "I saw people lying on the pavement at the falafel stand, wounded, pieces of tin from the roofs of the stands. I saw one lying without a stomach, and the police came to the area and took us away, asking us to leave the area immediately for fear that there was another explosive device or another terrorist. We moved away so we won't disturb them."

"The whole street was flying in the air"
Assaf Gilad, who owns a burger shop on the sidewalk opposite the site where the terrorist blew himself up: "I put a hamburger and suddenly there was a loud explosion, what a loud boom, after the boom there was silence for a few seconds, I saw a car rise to a height of three meters and land somewhere else, and fortunately, two cars parked in front of a store stopped the blast, and the store was damaged and things were broken, and immediately after the explosion I saw people running towards the wounded, And many people who were there fled, I think we are lucky, because between 3 and 5:30 the market is still quiet and there is not much S. If it was after five and a half, there would be more injuries."
