I think that the new colour system and additionally any suggestions for further info removals, as well as the removals from the jobs in F1 is extremely unfriendly to new players. I think you could seriously put off a lot of people with that.
I think we're passing the "Semi-Serious" tag at this point. If more changes like this occur I think it's only appropriate for the server and community to advertise itself as Serious RP.

As long as mic's are enabled it's semi-serious, and if you claim otherwise, you are just fooling yourself.

Last time I checked there wasnt cetain tickboxes for defining a gamemode as "Serious" or not. Imo Limelight could be classed as serious RP, the mechanics are there (Or soon to be). Few things cut out and I dont see why it wouldnt fit.

Maze RP (santos) does not 'disable' microphones as it has done for ages

Roleplaying as yourself can still be seen as seriousRP imo. Although I agree that while the gamemode can be classed as serious. The community can't be. Therefor as a total Limelight sure as hell isn't SeriousRP yet

Limelight's roleplay has had the quality and quantity of roleplay fluctuate for the last year quite a few times. If you look back on spring of 2016, I would say that was the peak of roleplay as on both quantity and its quality. Since then, roleplays have increasingly become less unique and more repetitive. The roleplay "market" has been saturated for over 2.5 years now.
Removing job colours & names introduces new mechanics, forces players to interact differently to what they are used to and allows for new roleplays to happen. What we are really in need of is new roleplay tools, be that elections, businesses, player market, crafting or even simpler things like being able to store a gun in a vehicle, stealing equipment, pickpocketing, ATMs or even simple commands that allow for some sort of more in-depth RP.
While the recent updates need tweaks here and there, I believe if development is willing/allowed to make some radical changes and introduce some seriousRP mechanics, the community will evolve around them slowly moving into more serious roleplays as tools keep getting utilised.
I think if major updates start coming out more often we should a change for the better. I would say this is a step in the right direction.

Honest question, and my apologies for being off-topic, but I've not really managed to ask this. Why do you believe membership should be cosmetic only?
