Appearance/Personality

Alexander Knight is a tall, athletic man, standing at 6'1". He has sports brown hair, glasses, and a moustache, looking like some sort of accountant. He can generally be seen wearing either business casual attire, or "dad-pat" tactical gear over civilian clothing. He has a few tattoos. Knight can be seen to have a split personality. With friends, Knight is good-humoured and has a laugh, but when it comes to work Knight is down and serious, cold and calculated, as laws, procedures and codes run through his head and govern his actions. When enraged, Knight can explode spectacularly. Due to his time in the infantry, he swears almost all the time.

Backstory:

Alexander Knight was born in Stirling, Scotland in 1984 to a Scottish father and an American mother, meaning from birth he held both British and American citizenship. He grew up in Stirling before moving to Glasgow in his teenage years. As a teenager, Knight had aspirations of pursuing law as a career and studied law at Glasgow Caledonian University.

Knight dropped out of studying law in his last year as he felt it wasn't for him, and joined the Black Watch (later 3 SCOTS) regiment (later battalion) of the British Army, and as a 20-year old took part in Operation TELIC, which was the initial invasion of Basra in Iraq. In 2004 Knight deployed to Iraq again and was part of the unit posted to Camp Dogwood, in an area known as the 'triangle of death'. Knight attained the rank of Lance Corporal in the army, and left in 2005 just before the amalgamation of his regiment in to the Royal Regiment of Scotland after serving another tour in Afghanistan.

After leaving the military a university dropout, Knight moved to London and joined the Metropolitan Police in 2007. Initially Knight was posted to Lewisham Police Station, where he served his probationary years, before going on to train as an authorised firearms officer and join Specialist Firearms Command. In 2011, he was promoted to Sergeant and in 2012 left Specialist Firearms Command to join Counter-Terrorism Command. In counter-terrorism command was when Knight had his first big career break, by virtue of his American citizenship he was able to take part in an exchange program between counter-terrorism command and the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Knight enjoyed his time in the ATF so much that he elected not to return to the Metropolitan Police, and after training became an ATF Special Agent.

Initially posted to the Los Angeles field division of the ATF as a Special Agent, he opted to train as an SRT Medic and served as this for a number of years before becoming part of a panel in the Oregon Field Division set up to examine the justification, feasibility and possibility of creating a field division in the troubled Rockford region. After the Rockford Field Division was created, Knight was initially posted as a Supervisory Special Agent (SpSA) to lead the CTAG (Counter-Terrorism and Anti-Gang) unit of the new field office. On the unit's disbanding, Knight was promoted to Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge and handled public relations, human resources and legal affairs for the field office.

In August 2018, due to difficulties in finding an SAC for the new field office, Knight was promoted to the rank of Special Agent-in-Charge and replaced SpSA A. Bahl as agent in-charge of the Criminal Investigation division of the field office, also heading up the SRT unit. In early 2019, he left the ATF as part of a transfer to the FBI, where he became a member of the elite Hostage Rescue Team. He would not serve with this unit for too long, however, as in late 2019 he was recruited by an undisclosed federal intelligence agency to join said agency's Special Activities Division as a senior officer.

On the 6th of August, 2021, Alexander Knight up and disappeared into the night. He remains in active service.
