Display Driver failed to start occurs when I launch GMod. A black rim surrounds my screen and I have to uninstall all drivers then reinstall later nvidia driver and that fixes. However, it keeps happening everytime I launch GMod.

Anyone else ever had this issue?
Cannot find a fix.

Yeah. The solution doesn't seem to work.

Are you using any recording software
Are you using any Autoexec files
Are you using any startup prompts?

No
Yes
Yes.

- Should I remove them or what do I do haha?

Removing them might solve it, if you could share what does the autoexec/startup contain that might me neato

It Contains;

gmod_mcore_test 1

I have removed it.

I have removed everything out of autoexec.

I've removed all drivers and installed an old one that I hoped would work. It didn't.

I simply posted because I though maybe people would have gone through this before.

My display settings are at "Recommended" according to Hallowed's post.

This issue completely prohibits me from playing Garry's Mod. As soon as I launch the game, the error appears screwing up my computer with the black rim and bad quality picture.

The graphics card details on device manager says it's not working and mentions Code 43. I have goggled fixes but they don't work.

If i'm quickly exit GMod, the error stops and the computer goes back to normal.

 Specify "Startup"?
Fixed. The Aspect Radio didn't agree with the computer system. I reverted it to normal.

But, for some reason (Which caused this issue after my attempting to fix) the boxes etc are "Further out" than normal and I don't know how to fix it.

Good to know it is fixed.

Thanks you lol. The issue has been resolved. There's not a better word for me that idiot.

I really appreciate the response Smile
Any further questions?
No thanks Stell.
