Unfortunately,
I was only taking a prolonged stay here in hopes that this community would take the right direction. It is apparent that this direction isn't possible without the help of  and for this reason I am taking leave.

After years of being separated from our previous community - I never saw any significant updates to make it feel new and refreshing. It seemed like most of the updates were back-end optimizations and things that were pushed into the GM directly were either poorly done or poorly thought out.

I'll go ahead and list my key issues here:

  • MS Paint HUD
  • Body-bags that never disappear and scatter the roads/ground (?)
  • Community that wastes their time posting PR's for little to meaningless offenses
  • Updates directed towards Government/Criminals and not towards other RP types
  • Edgy teenagers playing as law enforcement that ruin mine and many others experiences
  • Lack of substance in RP situations // Background RP is an imaginary idea now
  • ClanRP sees no improvements internally and instead all purely aesthetic (ie. Custom player models, props)
  • Weed/Contra continue to ruin the economy by having little to no risk/balance
  • Lack of development on things that make the game fun to play with low player-count
  • No significant desire to be President considering tax limitation is still low, lack of power and no election system.
  • No reason to buy a home/apartment unless you're spawning Contraband
  • Community is generally less than semi-serious for the most part, both in-game and on the forums.
  • Core features such as Woodcutting/Fishing still lack features that make it enjoyable
  • Missing a reason to progress in this GM financially besides affording the next new vehicle.
  • Cookie Cutter jobs taking over // I believe this is the wrong direction and instead should opt for removing sales jobs (ie. Gun Dealer, Black Market Dealer, Mechanic, Chef, Doctor)
  • Modification of Vehicle Scripts are overdone and make driving in this server extremely difficult - this is made worse by the fact that hitting things will almost always kill you or injure you.
  • The Piano doesn't count as a PassiveRP update, nor does the Panic Alarm
  • Why would you remove the voice clip of a man saying, "Oh Shit," after failing to catch a fish. This GM needs a sense of humor.
  • Why are the civilian suits still from 2011
  • Why aren't there accessories yet (watches, hats, etc)
  • Where are the Player Animations that we had a competition for

There are far too many things to list that have, in my opinion, devalued this GM and have left it with in my mind an expiration date that is closing in closer and closer each day.

I hope that's not the case but unfortunately I don't play Garry's Mod as much these days as I used to and when I am finding myself with what little time I have to spend - I'd hope to spend it somewhere where I find enjoyment and right now that isn't this place. I thought what Noble had proposed, both with the UI and core features of this GM, would save it and bring us back in the right direction but it seems like this may not just be a community issue but an internal one.

I personally think turning this into a business was a poor decision and from an outside perspective gives me the impression that the checks and balances were replaced with stock ownership and such.

Demoting AKA one of the few active and involved administrators, was a poor decision and I personally saw this as bias from early on because some of you had it out for him even though he really never did anything worthy of a demotion.

It's a Garry's Mod server and most of the administrators have seemed to take this on as if it's something they're going to put on their Resume/CV

Just my two cents.
Take care.

Maybe I'll come back if someone gets closer to my stats

ForceGhost

Goodbye man! Best of luck in the future.
give me like half ur money dont be a jew
Farewell.
One of the people that actually gave more than a shit. You gave a steaming dump. It was sad to see you not in a higher position to make a real change, as we all know, community members really aren’t listened to as much as they should for a gaming community. Sadly, even if LL wants to call itself a business, they operate like a preschool project group. Poor coordination, poor policy following, and terrible internal affairs.

Welcome to the club man.
Have a good one, Nev.
Sad to see you go, Nev.

Take care with what you do in the future.
:C one day i will come close to ur stats and then we will see innit

farewell lad :C
Have a good one dude.
Bye ;(
Best wishes sir.
Can't say I'm surprised that people are leaving because of the gamemode any more. The server is never how it used to be and until some wave of realisation comes over the development team then it's staying that way by the looks of it. This is only gonna happen more and more and I think a good way to combat this would be to let us know what's going on behind the scenes a little. Excite the community. You plan on adding drones or something? Awesome, tell people so they can look forward to it and stay a little longer.

Anyway, I always enjoyed your gambling dupes nev, even tho I lost more than I ever won on them. Good luck with whatever it is you choose to do in the future Smile
Two admins have replied to this, neither addressed his points or made any comment regarding changes, so on that basis is anything going to change?

Have a good one nev, shame to see someone like you go
Change can't happen as fast as any of us would like but it is on the way, we've had balancing problems in the past with one update leaning on one thing too much to tip it in the wrong way so to prevent this happening in the future, careful planning is needed. There will be more information hopefully in the future, keep your eyes open!

I share some of your points, I share your concern and I fully understand you and hopefully, when the change does come it fullfills your wishes as well as anyone else's who actually cares about the server and the roleplay rather than just playing shoot'em up.

Patience is all we ask for as we work on providing you the best experience possible, without breaking the balance.

Thank you for your detailed thread as always, continuing the quality of input as you did with your suggestions, detailing them to the smallest point.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do, and hopefully you'll come back soon.
I agree with all your points.

LL is sick, and it needs chemotherapy, not vitamin gummies and toys. Sad to see you go, Nev.
