Go to recording devices, and see if it is picking up anything from the mic when you talk.

Also, apologies, did you say Windows is recognising the microphone but it's not transmitting for some reason?

Yes it is recognising the microphone but not transmitting anything.

The green bars at the side should be jumping up and down while talking however nothing happens.
As said I have tired numerous mics, updated all drivers numerous times, updated to windows 10, reinstalled my PC. My PC recognises the mics it just dont pick up sound coming from them.
Is the mic muted? -_-

No......
Is it just a gmod problem? or other programs like discord etc...

All programs, my PC doesn’t catch my voice or any sounds coming from the mic even tho the pc recognizes the mic and it’s properly configured
is it plugged in?

Have you checked if you need some drivers installed? Im not a expert on this stuff but that might be it?
So you tried using different mics and its still not working.

1-The problem might be with the Input your Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Try using the headset in a different USB Connector.
2-Its a problem from the Audio inputs and outputs. Try Updating your Drivers (I assume you did)
3-Restart your pc after updating your driver.
4-Check your input from audio settings. https://prntscr.com/jwnc3y
5-Make sure your Output/Input are set https://prntscr.com/jwnchq

I'll think about more solutions and tell you later,Keep us updated.
Nothing has worked so far. I'll send my PC in for reparation tommorow
Are you sure that your mic isn't muted?

I’m more than sure
Sending it in for repairs is probably the best choice for right now. By the sound of it, it could be hardware related, it could be OS related. When you get your PC back, please update us on the matter.
My issue has now been resolved, thanks to everyone who tried to help!
