Basically it gives a bunch of really neat rights to Europeans in regards to data collection from organisations. You'll be able to:
  • Withdraw from data collection
  • Request information collected on you, know why it is collected and who it is shared with
  • Allow you to transfer data from one data processor to another
  • Request data to be deleted if there is no legitimate reason for an organisation to keep it
And it forces organisations to:
  • Implement adequate measures for data collection
  • Consider what information is actually required by them for collection
  • Notify authorities and customers when data breaches occur

Penalties for not complying can get pretty severe (up to 20 million euro fines or 4% of annual global turnover, whichever is higher)

I'm pretty sure facebook already makes it easy for you to download all the data they hold on you
Well I don't know about you guys but I was just prompted to accept/deny the new policy and I'm happy with it. Haven't heard anything about GDPR until today but I think it's safe to say Limelight aren't holding anything super sensitive. apart from and  knowing my real name
Email, SteamID, and IP addresses; that's literally all Limelight stores.
