Overview
The various members and staff of the Rockford Police are committed to making the City of Rockford a safer place to live in, work in or visit. We pride ourselves in delivering a service with integrity, sensitivity and respect, always putting people first. We are able to achieve these goals with our professionally trained officers, and special constables. However, we would not be able to help out in the community if it was not for your part. Rockford Police are always here to help you.

Our Mission
Our mission at Rockford Police Department is:
[*]The protection of life and property
[*]The maintenance of order
[*]The prevention and detection of crime
[*]The prosecution of offenders against the peace.
Departments and Divisions
There are various branches and departments within the Rockford Police, some of these include:
Metropolitan Division:
This is the main branch in the Rockford Police Department; here officers are trained to respond to a variety of calls that range from the minor crimes, to the major ones. Implemented in this department are also specially trained drivers, and even a covert policing unit.
Criminal Investigation Department:
Officers who join this department after their mandatory probationary period will automatically be granted the role of 'Det. Constable' and are able to work toward the title of 'Det. Inspector'. The Criminal Investigation Department helps to prove the guilt of an accused criminal. Detectives in this department are able to conduct interviews, interrogations and evidence collection to help prove the case of a guilty criminal.
Special Weapons and Tactics:
The SWAT Department of Rockford Police are the highly skilled officers who risk their responding to severely dangerous threats.
Armed Response Unit:
Armed Response Units typically are on-call 24 hours a day. These units are trained more with the ins and outs of their firearms. These officers tackle violent crime; involving guns, knives and other lethal weapons.
Specialist Firearms Command 19:
Specialist Firearms Command 19, also known as SC&O19 are responsible for the training and overseeing of all units who use firearms. In some cases, SC&O19 have seen to be training the Presidential Security.
Chain of Command
At Rockford Police, we pride ourselves with our thought out Chain of Command. All officers start of as s 'Police Constable' and are able to work their way up to roles such as 'Sergeant', 'Inspector' and even the 'Assistant Chief Constable'. Roles above 'Sergeant' will carry a mandatory interview in-game to see if the officer's talents will benefit the department.
At the top of the Chain of Command is the Commissioner, and Deputy Commissioner (in addition to any Policing Board Members), these roles in the Rockford Police push any important decisions to, and from, the higher ups. These roles also deal with internal affairs, including misconduct and any complaints the public has to offer.
