Lore:

The game is set in and around a post-apocalyptic retro-futuristic western region of the United States, following the Great War between the U.S., and China as a conventional and nuclear war that occurred on October 22 - October 23, 2077, and lasted less than two hours, while causing immense damage and destruction. Before the Great War were the Resource Wars, during which the United Nations disbanded, a plague rendered the United States paranoid, and Canada was annexed. The Hoover Dam supplies free electricity and water to those who control it.

Vaults are fallout shelters developed by a corporation called Vault-Tec. They were made to protect civilization from the greatest threats, specifically, nuclear war. The people in the vaults were isolated and eventually developed and mutated. This was due to inbreeding. Later, in the 2200's, these vault dwellers became curious of what was on the surface. Some vaults were abandoned due to infectious diseases and the fact that predators (mutants) engulfed their society. This was because the curiosity of the dwellers overcame their will, and the vault doors were opened. On the other hand, some vaults remained shut, and therefore became isolated to the rest of the world. Inbreeding occurred, as well as disease. In your case, you are a citizen that lives in a vault that was only opened a few times, therefore, you are isolated from the rest of the world, and would not know what to do in a situation if you were released from the vault. Every player who is given a role in the vault must roleplay as if they were born in the vault, and have lived their entire lives there.

For all of you who've played Fallout, you have an overall advantage on players who haven't. This means you should help these players if they need help when it pertains to RP situations and lore of the Fallout universe.

Finally, I want this to be a purely serious RP event. No fooling around or you will be kicked, no matter who you are. This may be strict, and I will ask administrators to enact a "Three Warning System," this is self-explanatory.

I encourage you all to watch this video. It will supply you with the information that is needed to roleplay in a Fallout Universe.

A vault citizen who is employed to cook food for the vault dwellers.

The event will take place on a Saturday, whenever we have enough applicants. I will try to make a date suitable for most players, so be on the look out. It will run for at least three to four hours, so be prepared to stay.

The map will most likely be rp_oldworld_optim_v5, you can download this from the Steam Workshop (This is subject to change).

The event does not currently have a set date, as it depends on participation.

Remember to roleplay in world's current situation, a dystopian apocalypse. This should be self-explanatory.

You must obey these rules to partake in the event. The rules are as follows:

1. No weapons may be used unless given permission by me or the administrators.

2. Follow all the server rules and perms-laws.

3. You must follow the RP specific situation at all times.

4. Roleplay seriously.

5. Finally, have fun and be nice.

Keep in mind that FailRP, FearRP, etc. are treated as per usual as if on the other servers. Don't goof around. Thank You.

What Job do you wish to be? Why? Vault dweller, I have a very small knowledge of Fallout, so I wouldnt want to take up a slot of someone that actually cares alot and is more interested to me. Furthermore, being a dweller is interesting to me to evolve in my passiverp capibilities and just generally seems fun to me.

What Job do you wish to be? Why? NCR Sergeant. Out of all the Fallout games, New Vegas was by far my favorite. From finding Benny, to working with the NCR to take back Hoover Dam from the Legion. The New California Republic was one of my favorite factions, as out of all the civilizations starting in the wasteland, the NCR was one of the few organized, and what seemed like, one of the better representations of the US military before the bombs dropped. Although stuck in a sort of militaristic government, they still put through taxes, checkpoints, and bases of operations throughout the West Coast. Being part of that machine would be something out of a dream for me.

Backstory (A few sentences.): Growing up in The HUB, Max was fairly knowledgeable to what the NCR offered him. When he was 18, he decided to enter boot camp, even after his parents wished against it. After basic, Max was requested to join the expansion into the Nevada Wasteland, where he remains today. After a few years of the NCR setting up camp in the area, Max has run into all horrors of the wasteland, and even had a run in with a Deathclaw at the mining area long abandoned due to its infestation. Now, as the days grow longer and boiling with heat, all Max wants now is a Nuka Cola and a Nuclear Winter.

After being approached by a Vault-Tec salesman on the streets of Rockford he was given a spot at Vault 16.
When the bombs fell, he had no other option than to seek cover in the safest place he could find, Vault 16!
His previous experience as a police officer made him a perfect match as a security guard. Although the other vault dwellers considered it a step down, he saw it as the job of the future!
