You need to link a Steam account to post I'm afraid. No way around that.
There is nothing we can do. Due to security reasons, you are required to link a valid steam account to your forums account. See:

Before we introduced these measures, we (the Security branch) discussed many other options. This one is the most reasonable, since a steam id is required by all our services too.
To conclude: You either get a Steam Account or you won't be able to participate.
