So let me just take a moment here to point out how absurd it is that people are getting triggered by this thread. Let me put this into perspective real quick. Those of you criticizing this thread are doing so because we have a suggestion forum?
The goal of this thread is to ask and promote users to consider changes they’d like to see in LL, and to draft those ideas or concepts into detailed system changes. Not suggest a new car.
This is the same as if you complained that I made a “We need developers thread” because Christ! We already have a contributor application, what an outrage! People put time into contributor applications, NOW THIS!? Really...? The point of this thread isn’t to become suggestions 2.1, the point of this thread is to promote users to brainstorm, empower the player base to draft changes, and to post those propositions here. Yes, some suggestions do this - and we are considering those as well, and this has allowed some of those to resurface, which is fantastic.
But really, I find it a bit annoying that some complain about people trying to make positive changes by nitpicking at technicalities. I feel like I could make a thread where I give everyone $100 and someone would find something to moan about. Here’s my opinion: 1. Don’t complain if you’re doing nothing . 2. If you don’t want to be a part of the progress in this community, go away.
OT:
that looks fantastic, that’s exactly what I’m lookin for.

Already been posted about above, but without any detail.
While it's not completely necessary, I have wanted character customization/accessories for a very long time. Whenever I see Garry's Mod videos on Youtube, all the characters are unique and recognizable due to their customization capabilities. To me, it adds significant draw to Limelight. Characters feel quite vanilla as is, when they can be completely unique. This will be quite brief as it's very straightforward;
Rather than just having a GUI on the F1 menu or a command, it'd be more fitting to have a buyable wardrobe entity which upon activation opens a GUI similar to the mechanics have for /customize. This wardrobe could be one of the many props found within the new GTA V Prop Pack implemented.
This could of course be adjusted in many ways, just a rough outline, I suppose.

Hey, I contributed! I gave you suggestions in staff review and pointed you to other great brainstorming sessions that were not listed as I can't copy and paste the whole suggestion area!
I'm not saying what you're doing is a bad thing, but there are literal pages of brainstorming ideas that have been going on since LL became a thing. Especially with Nev's posts, you can find some good, detailed stuff in there WITH community input, so you can categorize it into priorities of what the PLAYERS want.

tbh understaffing + inactivity is a big issue and disrupts the flow of roleplay, yet this is something that could be solved quite easily

Well it does, without an effective staff team the server won't function properly so all these amazing suggestions would be pointless.

How about hosting community pannels on the teamspeak. Lets say every week or every second week there will be a brainstorming session regadring different subjects on the teamspeak where people would have the chance to discuss, suggest and argue about certain changes and ideas. I think some of us ight be more productive in an open, dynamic brainsotming session than on a hard solid suggesrtion template.
Also it would allow to discuss some ideas faster and with more then ust 1 or 2 opinions at a time.
Discussions on a suggestion threat are slow and narrow themed as you dont really have the option to instantly reply, or to fit your suggeston to the recomendations and doubt of others.
When i propose a economic model (that might probably be realisitc but could use some change) all the replys i get tend to be "+support" "-support" or "unrealistic"/"definatly needed". A brainstorming sessiion with multiple people and most improtanly staff would have the advantage that the exchange of information would be way faster. So we could ditch unrealistic ideas faster wherelse we could tailor realistic suggestions to the needs of the devs and staff a little better.
After alll we can still put those suggestion in the suggstion forum but discussing them in an lively conversation could benefit the suggestions quality.

To add on to your suggestion about the jail system , really good job. I was thinking about the playermodel aspect, and perhaps it might be possible to get the kevlar vest reskinned so it'll end up saying C.O, then they'd be easily recognisable and might even save on the amount of content space available to us.

You might as well make the gamemode HL2RP

to help the economy i think that we should have more craftable items....but make these schematics for said items a lot more expensive.........for example anyone can simply by the ceramic plating schematic and that's why everyone uses them. If schematics themselves cost more then they would force some people to rely on other members of the community for supplies and equipment rather than simply self serving when needed

I think what LL really needs is to implement and advance all the character roles. I'm really happy that LL added new vehicles for the PD, FD, and EMT, as well as new models, tools, etc for those departments as well. But what I think other players beside me is looking forward to is to advance roles like Public transport, Secretary, and Doctor roles. To be honest, right now they are one of the most useless roles (besides the people who do a specific RP with those roles.) I think adding new vehicles is great, but that will get boring in a week. Adding new tools or tasks for those roles, will boost them and we will start seeing even more unique RP's on LL.
