This was already suggested and I like the idea, but we need to choose a side at this point.

DarkRP, SeriousRP, or WTFIsGoingOnIDontKnowWhat2Do (Semi-SeriousRP)

If we choose this, we need to account for Fearp breakers, minges, and other annoying individuals who will not listen to orders.

Also, if you want people to stop being bitchy, this isn't gonna solve jack. It will actually make people more bitchy as they now have to go to the PD to get arrested.

We need to remake our Arrest System entirely. We shouldn't see players getting arrested by cops for anything. Wanna know why most of us do this? Nothing really stopping us. It's IC. I have a valid reason and some guy uninvolved gave you 15 minutes. Not my problem. There is not fining system (Unless you count the bribes as fines), no discipline in the Government (Little ole Jimmy joins and arrests everyone and doesn't communicate with any of the other officers), if a player does want to go in depth with an arrest they are met with hostility from most of the opposition, etc, etc. I could go on if you need me to.

Right now our government is a lot like our GM: "WTFIsGoingOnIDontKnowWhat2Do"

Unless we fix how our whole government operates and how people can be part of it, don't expect a few additions or fixes to solve anything. Same people, different tools.

On another note: We would need something similar to a court system, but not a court system. Those are probably as boring as getting arrested as it is just 2 sides arguing over a $200 ticket (BTW our economy sucks too. $200 is like chump change and we capped fines and such off at $2000. Like WTF. I Ain't gonna get mad if I lose money I can gain by selling my left shoe to Dan).
What do you think of:

Having it so players have to escort players into the cells instead of the teleportation only if there are current online/undercover admins.

If there are are no admins or moderators, players will be teleported upon arrest.

This way if somsone is breaking fearRP he'll be reported and delt with by a staff member.

This won't really solve the problem. you would still be forcing players to do something that wastes time on both ends and has no real purpose. Why does he need to be escorted if I can just wack him with a baton? Is their something special I get for escorting them?

what is said staff is busy rping or just busy? (Dragging system)
A, great thread, the main-reason I left LL for such a long time can finally be discussed properly!

I played on another perp-server where they started FULL WHITELIST of cops.
There was a wizard in-game where you answered some questions, untill a supervisor contacted you and assigned you a partner which you'd have to follow for uptill three real days (as long as you wanted to play those days, tho)

You would then have to do a little "exam" in a wizard and submit, then you would be "trained" and they would watch how you did things, before they accepted or denied.

When accepted, they'd get a "trainee"-cop-job untill they had X hours as a cop, then they became a regular one.

They also had a staff-team that took this seriously and worked only with reports against officers abusing or randomarresting, and cases could take upto 2-3 weeks, but no cop that actually used this much energy to become a cop dared to even add an extra minute to an arrest defined in the lawbook.

This made me so relaxed, knowing that minges that randomarrest 15min for jaywalking could get in worst-case banned or blacklisted perm from governmental jobs.

I am serious when I say that SOMETHING has to be DONE.
The reason I left this server was due randomarresting and bullshit from certain cops, and I have still witnessed bullshit-arrests like waiting in-line to fix my car or some shit and get 15 minutes.

I also met 9 other players on that server that were ACTIVE players from LL.
They all blamed the lack of help during bullshit-arrests from staff and minging among governmental.

I'd love to keep playing here, but I will surely have to wait and see how long I can take bullshit-government before I'll take a break again.

Literally my perfect whitelist training system (Minus the questionnaire unless the questions are scrambled from a base of 50+ questions). Right balance of actual training and on-the-job practice.

This WOULD be the case with our staff team if we actually had a whitelisted and trained government

All in all I don't know why the staff team hasn't looked into this further. Whitelisting the government is a HUGE positive for our server and would literally get rid of one of the main problems IC with our game mode.
I agree Soviet.

Alot of people has left LL, and that might be of various reasons, but the reason they give me when I ask is minging in government.
It just takes away the fun getting arrested 15 minutes for jaywalking or whatnot, and those 15 minutes are filled with frustration and lack of joy or the motivation to keep playing.

A whitelisting-system would most likely have a HUGE impact on people's joy, I have no doubt what-so-ever.

And I would love to see LL with 70 players all day' long, and I think that this would be a huge step in that direction again.

I hope they take a look at your system, that would be such a great improvment.
I agree with having to take people to jail and process them, only if they can actually RP being in jail, not just left alone in a cell for however long and forgotten about. Lets face it, regardless of how you get to jail, the major issue people tend to have with it is that they are sitting in jail, by themselves, nothing to do, like they are in trouble in a rule violation way. There is no RP , typically, with the inmates.

Perhaps a warden job, and some simple things to do, like social time, yard time, work time, and meal time. Granted, one person probably won't get to enjoy all of these in one sitting, but if they came there once, bet your ass they will be back in that cell soon enough to experience another.

The ability to move people is already out there on those scripting sites and I have personally played with one on a DarkRP server. While they are slightly clunky ( the ragdoll position while it's being moved is almost like they used the pod seat), but worked. With a combination of things, we were able to have hotkey activated fear rp (that could recognize if both your weapon was valid and if the target was valid), strip their weapons, force them to lay down, pick them up, put them in vehicles, and drive them wherever we wanted, without needing special access privs.

While we don't need all of that, the moving of tied people by force is a must, it creates less confusion, and far less fuckery from minges when you are either arresting, escorting (bodyguarding in hotzone), kidnapping, or even body shielding. Since the person is basically attached to you during the feature, welcome to crims using hostages like riot shields. That in itself is huge rp value, as now cops might actually think a little harder before they storm.

Agreed. The only jail RP I see is:

A: Prisoner false calling shots fired to annoy the police
B: Prisoners punching each other to death for no reason.
