I believe it randomly occurs, little often occurs for me when the server restarts.

Nah I'm too cool thats why
Yeah the scoreboard does throw lua errors now and then for myself. I think its partially due to the age of it partially.

Wrong, it has something to do with the people in the AFK slot, when you join, not being loaded correctly. I don't know if there is a permanent fix, but a patch was released to prevent the error.
