On the contrary, TriCare, a federally subsidized healthcare which becomes free at 60 years old or after 20 years of active service, works like a dream. I personally have never been denied healthcare anywhere, and there have been little to no out of pocket expenses.
Not to mention, the VA has been horrifically underfunded for a healthcare system.

The EU is most definitely not some fairyland. The EU is very bad for some countries, and good for others.
A lot of reasons that people in the US are poor are based solely off the individual. They made bad decisions that led to a job that provides minimum wage and part time employment. It shouldn't be the government's job to make everyone part of the middle class and upper class. We need all three classes due to the way industry works. The upper class owns the businesses and the middle class are the consumers that buy the products that the lower class manufacture. If we didn't have social classes, the economy would be way different. Your comment about getting sick with cancer is not very valid. The ages that your career choices are usually most important, 25-39, don't have that high rates of cancer. Most people with cancer are above 45.
My "twisted and sick opinion of reality" is my belief in capitalism apparently. Because I don't believe in giving out free money to people who don't attempt to work, I am a bad person? I'm sorry I'm not a fan of policies that contain influences of communism.

Well I understand a part of your point of view, and I could partially agree with you if all education would be provided in the same way, without counting traumatic events leading to mental sickness, at-birth disability, attention given etc... I meant the EU as a region, but the system is similar in all of Europe, most of Asia, Mexico and Canada, probably Latin america (Hell i'll be less fucked in Cuba than in the US). It seems that you are the only country using this system. I wonder why... In Europe, at least in my school, you get taught the basics of economics and politics. Almost all colleges are state-funded so you usually get different viewpoints inside one.
