Do you if this only happens for this server?

Has he equipped (dont know correct word for that lol) the addons from the right bottom at main menu

PS. Half-Life 1 is not needed, only Half Life 2, Half Life 2: EP 1 and 2. And CS:S

Is he looking at the ground or is it always like that ?

Is it raining while this happens ?

Does he have any custom overlays ?

This is atmos, the weather mod for GMod. Sometimes if you don't have the addon, it will create this error, because the addons uses a screen overlay which needs to be downloaded.

really? ok, did you try to download atmos?

New idea, disable your blur in your gmod settings.

Is this the same in Rockford?
Have you tried removing all add-ons then trying to connect to see if it might be an addon subscribed to?
