Extra time has been taken to make sure there are no misunderstandings here - guns can be carried inside private property when they are legal without being considered "open carrying" by the permalaw. Aka without any laws prohibiting guns you can carry whatever inside your own property as long as you don't threaten/point it at people etc.
But that's more or less irrelevant. What's relevant is, the current rules state that unless lives are in immediate danger, you need a search warrant to enter. This doesn't change with whether guns are legal or not. Him having a gun on his back seen through the window, if he's not pointing it/threatening with it/actively shooting it, or holding or claiming to hold a hostage, there is no immediate threat to life and you must get a search warrant before entering. It is your responsibility to check if the property is owned, and if there has been a search warrant issued on the person you are raiding. The back door being unowned is irrelevant - if the front door is owned, the property is owned.
As the raid itself was completely valid besides the missing search warrant, both players will receive warnings.
